This is a really nice floor mat for exercising because it is thicker than most so when you lie down on it you don’t feel the hard floor so much.

I did a bit of research on Pilates mats , and it seems most of the mats sold are intended for yoga and not Pilates. I also read a lot of reviews that said that the mats had a foul odor. I am happy to report the mat that just arrived has barely any discernible odor, just slightly plastic. It is of great quality is slightly thicker than most mats (most are 1/8 to 1/2 inch). It is very comfortable to work out on and I am very happy with the quality.

Update - I actually like it much better now that I’ve used it for a few weeks. Great cushion and more supportive than I originally thought. I do put it on top of another mat that keep it from moving around. Old review. It is too stretchy and moves under my feet when doing different moves for Pilates and stretching afterwards. I’m disappointed that I wasted my money.

This mat is a game changer in my world. I have very sensitive joints due to Ehler Danlos Syndrome, so making sure that when I’m laying flat, the floor isn’t digging into my joints is a big deal. Also, my feet are very comfortable standing on it. I live with daily joint pain, and it’s a real relief to feel that this mat is very cushiony and supportive. I definitely appreciate that it is made sustainably and has no underlying odor. I’m very sensitive to smell. Also, after a few months of use, I don’t see any tears or anything. I have done a variety of Pilates workouts on it, and I also do some walking/jogging cardio routines on it. I find it much better to have bare feet, than socks or shoes. I do wish it was a little wider, but it’s not a big enough deal for me to take to remove a star. I am very happy with this mat. I will update this listing if anything changes, but so far so good.

Nice for people who have joint pain and love yoga, although for balancing poses you might need a regular mat on top of this one.

This is a replacement for my Gaiam yoga mat that smelled awful. My daughter teaches Pilates and highly recommended this mat. So glad I bought it. It is worth the money. Nice and thick.

I have been looking for a good quality Pilates Matt and I am new to the Pilates world. I was recommended this Matt by my Pilates instructor and man this is amazing! the cushion is great, it stays put in its place and doesn't slid and the grip is perfect. I for sure recommend this.

I tire of being a chair-warrior for my job all day, so in the evenings, I like to stretch out when I watch some TV. I don't own a couch, so this extra-thick foam mat suits me (and my back) just fine for relaxing on the floor. It's quite substantial, so when I'm not using my treadmill, I drape the mat over it for storage. The mat is so comfortable that I've fallen asleep several times already on it, especially when I couple it with my favorite pillow!
