Does the larger hoop work on the SE400?

Yes and No it does fit but you can still only do patterns that are 4x4 or smaller. Because the settings can be used in several different spots you may be able to frame your item and then change the placement from one end to the other to do two designs before having to re-hoop. it did seem to add some drag on the arm but not over much. The grids are nice but did not seem to mach up to my stitching field. Hope this help I love my SE400.

Durable embroidery hoops set

These embroidery hoops are great. They fit my Brother SE600 perfectly. I’ve had them for 3 years now and have no issues. The material is pretty similar with the one that came with my machine that you can hardly tell the difference. I practically use this hoops everyday since I got them and the hold well. They have survived thick fabrics, gunk from sticky adhesive spray, occasional falls and long hours of embroidery. Don’t walk, run to get them 😄!
