I have used towels in the past that were not this soft and they had an unpleasant odor but thankfully this towel is not like that. I have used this during a lot of different types of exercise and it has really come in handy. My husband has been using it as well and he sweats a lot and the absorbency is incredible. He even used it when mowing the lawn. He just threw it over his shoulder and it was small enough not to get in the way because it is not bulky at all . I have washed it multiple times in the two weeks I have been using it and it hasn't shed and it hasn't lost any thread at all. That was a concern of mine because that has happened to me with towels in the past. I have a compromised immune system so I love that this towel is antibacterial. A lot of other towels don't have that feature so that is definitely a plus. If I could I would give them an extra star based on the fact that a tree is planted with every purchase.
