I got these to try on a hidden cabinet I am building. The install was so easy with the provided install kit. The latch I have already has screw holes in them if you want to use hardware, however those are not included in the package. I haven't put a lot of weight on the latch binding, but I have lifted and carried my cabinet by the lid, which puts most of the weight on the latch, and haven't had any issues. It seems solid enough. I used a neodymium magnet to make a custom key, and that seems to work well. My magnet must be a little smaller that the one provided because I have to be more precise with my placement to open the latch. I used a 1/4 inch magnet. Be advised that their latch has a magnet in it, and another magnet in the key. If you use a separate magnet and it doesn't, try flipping your magnet over as the polarities may be pushing apart instead of attracting. Overall, I really like their kits. I plan to buy more as I build more of these cabinets.

Bon pour empêcher les enfants de prendre des produits ménagers, pour nous c'est notre gros matou Zeus qui aime aller grignoter les brosses sous l'évier de cuisine. Il arrivait à ouvrir les portes. Il n'y arrive plus et nous boude, jusqu'au lunch😉. On installe avec les collants et le gabarit, une fois collé en place, on peut visser le tout ,, les trous sont pré percés et les collants tiennent le crochet assez fortement que nous n'avons pas vissé nos crochets installés. Tout est magnétique et la clé peut se camoufler comme si c'était une poignée d'armoire ou tirour ou encore une decoration. Nous vous recommandons.

Los compre para evitar que mi bebé abra cajones o puertas de las alacenas que pudieran tener sustancias u objetos peligrosos para un pequeño, aun que la instalación es un poco engorrosa y los esquemas no son tan intuitivos han sido de mucha utilidad para evitar accidentes en casa, los materiales son bastante resistentes aún que una de las llaves magnéticas se rompió al caer de una distancia relativamente baja, pero por fortuna trae 2 llaves... Lo recomiendo como básicos de seguridad para los niños

As long as you place the magnet holder in a discreet location and you don’t allow your toddler to see where you’ve hidden it, you’ll never have to worry about your child discovering a workaround for this specific system. The magnetic key is required to open the lock and even if your cabinet door manages to open the tiniest bit, it won’t open far enough for tiny fingers to reach through and pop the lock, as I’ve seen happen with other systems. I bought this to lock the cabinets against my cats opening them and am delighted to report that they have not managed to circumvent this system. I even installed the locks on a couple of cabinets without telling my husband and he couldn’t figure them out! He’s extremely gifted at reverse engineering things, so it was a pleasant surprise to discover they even worked well at keeping him out of the cabinet. They fit most cabinet doors and bills very well. Mine are installed in custom cabinetry and they work extremely well, no issues at all with the magnet working through solid wood. Rather than using the stick on method, we used the enclosed screws to ensure that the locks would stay in place. Using the stick on method first was very helpful in holding the lock components in place as we drilled in before placing the screws. They feel like they will last for very many years. I love that there’s a magnet holder that sticks on any surface for docking the key when it’s not needed, ensuring the magnetic key will always be readily available without ever getting lost.
