Forget reversible—this truly original Levi’s Trucker is upside-downable! Cut from premium denim, it has a vintage look and feel. Wear it cropped and oversized, or rotated 180° for a longer, “cocoon” fit. More details to love? Brass buttons, intricate stitching and Levi’s classic back pockets with the famous red tab. “This shape is designed to inspire creativity and promote experimentation. Since the form is fluid without traditional tailoring, it’s made for lots of different body types and personal styles—much like the original iconic Levi’s trucker jacket". Review: FUN and Comfy/Embrace the Tail! - Confession: Even though I LOVED this jacket watching it walk down the runway, and I wanted to love it on me, I bought it fully expecting to return it. At 5'4" (almost) and a medium-small build, I thought even the S/M would swallow me up, with the wonderfully weird angles getting lost & being utterly unflattering. But... Return it? NO WAY!!!! OMG I LOVE IT! As frugal a shopper as I am, I think that $200 is a bargain for a designer piece this unique! The denim is soft and comfy to the touch, and the perfect weight to get the drape needed for the drapey parts. The gorgeous stitching gives structure to the edges, and they hold their shape perfectly where needed. This is a good quality piece of clothing. Yes, there is a duck tail when worn in side A - embrace it! (This is obvious on the model pics if you look at them). I suspect that It will probably soften a bit in time. TIP: Iron the seam between the collar and the body of the jacket and this will soften the bend. The sleeves might be short on some people (again, look at the model pics & you will notice this) On me, the sleeves are wrist length on side B, a bit shorter on side A. Fine with me, I often roll sleeves up to intentionally make them 3/4 length. My shoulders are narrow; a wide-shouldered person would end up with an even shorter sleeve length. Also, This is not JUST a two-way jacket! With all of the buttons and buttonholes you can really have fun experimenting with different ways to wear it - I keep playing with different ways to wear it. The fabric does wrinkle easily, but that's definitely not enough to lose a star. Any wrinkling will lessen over time and washes. It's fun that the Levi's label is on both ends of the jacket, but like others, I REALLY wish that Gary had credit on the label. This jacket will get a LOT of wear from me! Team Gary all the way!!! Review: PHENOMENAL jacket for my closet. A collector's piece. - This jacket is AMAZING - I am so impressed with how it looks - I love the oversize vibe of it, and the different ways you can wear it is just so impressive. Gary was definitely the one designer that I felt like I HAD to have a piece from. I know everyone talks about the tail - I found that you can also take the ends of that tail and button it up so that it cinches in the back around your waist and you wear it long in the front. Just a little tip for you. It might not fit everyone's waist - it just fit mine and I wear size 6/28 waist, and I ordered the S/M size. The pockets - love the design of them and how unexpected the design is. I'm such an 80s girl so the huge collar is a style that I so love. Wearing it the other way looks amazing too - it's so Japanese denim chic. BRILLIANT!

versitile and fun
I saw this on the tv show and loved it. I loved the designer and what he focused on. I love the fun and versatility. I'm not 100% on the upside collar on the longer look in the back it sticks out more then Id prefer. It looks a little softer after getting out of the laundry. It sticks out a bit...or maybe I stick out a bit more then I should. I love that you can interperate how to button and wear. I love the origami feel of a shaped yet shapeless silouette. There is space and volume.

Cool design/versatility Poorly executed/proportioned
When I first saw this piece on the "Making the Cut" Show I was in awe and taken aback by its versatility, design and aesthetic. I immediately went online to place my order for it because I knew it would be such a statement/conversation piece to my wardrobe. At the time it was still so new that they did not have very many in stock and I would have to wait 8 months for the item to arrive. In my mind worth it if I was going to keep this indefinitely. Sadly, when it did arrive, I was so disappointed by the scale and proportion of this garment. I am 5 feet 7 inches tall, 140 lbs 30 inch waist 36 inch chest. I ordered the S/M and as seen in the pictures it is way to large through the body. I know that oversized is a trend now in fashion, but for something like this is is to be for an average consumer to use daily not for going down a runaway, Levi as a global fashion company should have taken this into effect. By trade, I am a tailor and while I was seriously considering altering this to be a better fit, after paying $200 for it it is not worth the labor. In version A with the cowl neck collar is where I could feel the most how baggy and excessive the garment is. It felt like I basically wrapped myself in a large blanket. The silhouette in this version for a male body in my opinion is not as flattering as Version B. In Version B, I Did like the silhouette and lines, but it can at a cost of having to hide the pockets completely, otherwise it felt like I was just wearing a sack. The sleeve proportion in this version was shorter basically to the elbow/ 3/4 length. I could feel the seam line in my bicep which made it feel like uncomfortable. Like other reviews in this configuration it does give the wearer a "tail" to the back side. This could be fixed with a small snap, but again after paying this much for it I shouldn't have to augment. In general I love this concept and versatility, but I do think Levi's needs to revisit the pattern and make the scale more proportioned. This will help with the silhouette in both versions. Please see the photos I provided. I hope this helps.

Pros and cons
OK. I love Making the Cut and Gary Graham is by far my favorite designer on the show. When I saw this design won, I literally ran to my phone to order one. I saw the weird tail on the back in the photos but decided to try it. I'm 5'11" and usually wear a US ladies medium, 10 or 12 and I got a S/M. It's a little roomy but I think that's how it's supposed to fit. Pros: I love that there are so many different ways to wear this. I'll post some photos of the initial ways I found. The denim is soft and drapey but not thin. It's very unique. I like that it supports the idea of genderless dressing. Cons: For a $200 jacket from Levi's, I expected something really top quality. It feels middle of the road and there are no "extras." The fabric is not premium, and if you wear the front hanging open, the backside is a light color which cheapens the look a bit. The 'tail" is insane. See the other reviews about this too. I'm a home sewer and if I keep this jacket, I'll install a discreet snap so I can fold the collar back and up inside the jacket which will help with this a lot. I didn't notice this tail on Gary's original jacket and I can't believe Levi's couldn't sort out this design detail. For a $200 jacket I shouldn't have to alter it in this kind of way! I don't know if I'll keep this, but since it's now totally sold out maybe I will... I like the way it fits and it's very cool, the tail thing is just bizarre though. If Levi's makes more of these they need to sort that detail out, make it fold in, or make that part from something way more drapey.

Incredibly large
After waiting far too many unexplained months to receive this, I was incredibly disappointed. I got the smallest size S/M but it was like a denim pup tent. It was 58" around in the chest, when hanging normally, and 56 in the hips when hanging normally. Oversized is one thing but swamped is another. No small or medium woman of my size or smaller (5'3") and 155lbs. could wear this comfortably without excess fabric getting in the way of ordinary activities. And, while I love the late Andre Leon Talley, I don't want to wear a denim caftan, even if a designer made it. There is nothing flattering or cool about something that large. Worse, it was poorly made. The monstrous neck opening could not be buttoned because the button holes were not big enough. Worse still, even if it had remotely fit, the tail issue was not resolved. How hard would it have been to do a perpendicular cut on the back of the collar so that, when worn in the "b" position, the neck pieces would overlap and lie flatter while still standing up in the "a" position? Worst of all, for a 200 dollar denim jacket, I would have expected better quality denim or some effort to line the parts of the jacket that would ordinarily hang open. It looked cheap. Finally, I have short arms and the sleeves were ok in the "a" position but I would expect that most people would find them too short. I returned the jacket immediately. Feel sorry for the designer. This does not reflect well on him. Glad his name is not on the label because I fear a ton of these are going to be returned and end up in a landfill or thrift shop. What a waste.

I got lucky
I managed to order this, and received it today. Got the S/M sizing. It is so much fun, and I am thrilled to have it. It's denim and hemp - so cool. There are a few stitching imperfections, but for the most part, it is completely fabulous, and for the price, really excellent. I enjoy the avant garde shaping, just for its unusualness. I know I'll wear it, and I can even see traveling with it - even though the fabric is on the lighter side, with a sweater underneath, it will wrap so cozily while flying. Great upside-downable, wear two ways design! Update: totally great on the plane. PS: Have gotten at least one compliment each time I’ve worn this. Thanks other reviewers for tail suggestions.

Brilliant Design from Gary Graham - Very Poor Quality from Levis
This is a brilliant design that is betrayed by very poor quality production from Levis. First, the design: If you saw the show, you know this is the result of a moment of genius. It's original, cool, and it's also versatile. A lot of people seem to have a problem with the fit, but you have to take into account this is a multi-look piece of unisex fashion and that it is not going to fit exactly like a normal jacket, or jumper, or whatever you are used to. The larger and roomier design allows for the versatility. You have to alter your expectations and be a little bold and adventurous and work with this piece to find the best (of possible multiple) ways it can work for you. The quality: This is not a $200 jacket in terms of quality. The jacket we received was produced using a very poor quality of denim that came with numerous pulled threads, some piling, a it had a few areas of poor stitching, and is clearly not going to last very long in terms of wear. Let me clarify that I am not talking about the weight of the denim, but rather that the denim used was of a very low grade. ( I have other jackets in this same weight which are of superior quality and in better condition even after years of use.) This is not "premium denim" as it says in the description. I believe the jacket we received is from the second (or third?) run of the garment. Maybe the previous runs were of better quality? All I can say based on the one we received is that it is very cheap denim and production that really should have been given better quality control. Regrettably I ordered this as part of a 10-year anniversary present for my wife, and we live overseas, so a return would be problematic at best. My wife loves the design, and so it looks like we'll be keeping it based on that. But if you're thinking about splashing out $200 for this jacket, be warned that while the design is worth every penny of that, the production quality of the garment ranks with cheapest of fast fashion. Levis has done a disservice to Gary Graham's inventive design, and they've done a disservice to their customers by placing profit margin over quality. Disappointing.

Incredible design
I saw this on making the cut and had to have it. I tried so many times to order it, always out of stock and now I know why, it’s a great jacket and unlike any denim jacket you will ever find.

LOVE this jacket
There is has a lot of fabric in this jacket but the denim is light so it feels lovely on, not constricting or heavy. The fit is generous.

Super cool Jacket!
I absolutely love this jacket. The design is super cool and I liked how it looked both ways. As noted in the other reviews, one of the ways to wear it does give you a “duck bill” effect at the back but I personally like that and think it’s an interesting design element. Some reviewers commented on the material but again I liked that it’s a softer denim. It makes the jacket hang better than it would in a thicker or stiffer denim. In terms of fit, it’s an oversized fit but I thought it didn’t look overwhelming. I’m 5’2 and typically wear a US 4 and took the s/m size.
