This is a great help for me as I have arthritis in my knees instead of struggling to get out of the chair with this aid it now comes easy for me an a lot less painful,I wished I'd bought it sooner I'm very pleased with it.

This works for what I need. I injured my knee and have trouble getting up from a seated position. I had some arm rests for my couch from when my mother in law lived with us. I installed them, but still struggled to stand up without using my leg. I needed a little extra height and a little shove. This works perfectly. I don't think this would be good for someone who is weak or unsteady or short. I am an active 66 year old female 5'5" on the heavy side. When I go to sit down, I have to stand on tiptoes to get positioned to sit. I can't see my tiny mother in law using it. I can't see a feeble person using it. I would say go try one out somewhere because you are stuck with this if it doesn't work for you.

The seat does not work well when placed in a wheelchair. The seat catches on the backrest and will not lift.The seat works best on a flat firm chair. Also the amount of lift assist was not sufficient to help my wife who has difficulty standing.
