I believe it’s made in Eastern Europe. The wooden pieces are well crafted and the folding wooden carry case has carved patterns that I thought made it an excellent value for the price. One website said this: They come with Eastern Europe Etno theme as they are manufactured in Poland. The chess board is made from birch and beech wood and the chess pieces from hornbeam and sycamore wood. These pieces offer a lighter feel when you play with them. Also, the recessed holes help you to secure the set when you move with it around.
