**Q: After starter is started when do you start refrigerating it?**
A: I'm definitely not an expert, but I believe you only need to refrigerate it if you're not going to use it for a while. If you're going to bake bread every few days or once a week, you can leave out the starter. That will help it grow. If you're not going to use it for at least 2 weeks, you can hold it in the fridge.

**Q: Where are these made?**
A: Weck Jars are made in Germany

**Q: Is it normal for the jar and lid to have pits and imperfections in the glass?**
A: My jar and lid do not.  It could have happened in the firing process.  If you are unsure, send back for replacement.

**Q: Can they go in the dishwasher?**
A: Yes I put mine in the dishwasher. Does yours have a rubber gasket? If it does I would had wash and dry it by hand, Mine does not.
