Dear Customer, Our Laser Alignment Point & Leveling Line - designed with bright red beam 100Ft alignment point and 30Ft horizontal line for leveling. You can also align plumb with the help of spirit level magnet. The line laser can also be used vertically with the help of level magnet. What you mentioned Verti-Site is a bubble level oriented so you can put the body of the device on the side of a wall or post and project a laser beam up (or down) in a vertical orientation. Sub flooring, does this work for checking if my cement sub floor is level?

Can it be used outside, say for gutter installations?

It is recommended that you avoid direct sunlight when you use the laser line & point, as strong sunlight weakens the laser energy and can affect accuracy and laser line range. Better used indoors.

Is the laser line level , to what degree and how far and brightness ?

The laser function of this tool has two modes:【Point & Line Laser】Designed with bright red beam 32ft horizontally line and 98ft point laser for leveling and alignment.  Class II laser product, output < 1mW

In the measurement range, it can provide enough brightness, even if the surrounding environment is dark, and Design with 90° &180° bubble vial with LED lights for easier reading in dark work area. Long press the red button to turn on/off the light.

You can also aligns plumb with the help of spirit level magnet. The line laser can also be used vertically with the help of level magnet.
