**Q: Is this tested for heavy metals?**
A: We use our patented Flexitech technology to purify our krill oil, but krill and krill oil is naturally low in heavy metals and other unwanted compounds due to the clean waters in the Antarctic. We analyze our krill oils regularly for heavy metals, and the typical values for lead, mercury, chromium and cadmium are 0.05ppm, 0.01ppm, 0.05ppm and 0.01ppm respectively.

**Q: Is this tested for heavy metals?**
A: The krill used in Kori Krill Oil are harvested from the pristine waters of the Antarctic where there is little industry or agriculture to contaminate the water. In addition, krill’s place at the bottom of the food chain impedes the accumulation of contaminants which are often found in marine life higher in the food chain. Even so, Kori Krill Oil is routinely tested for the presence of  dioxins, furans, dioxin-like PCBs, pesticides, heavy metals (mercury, arsenic, lead etc) and other potential contaminants, and would not be encapsulated unless the presence, if any, of these substances is below very stringent specifications.

**Q: How much EPA is in this formulation?**
A: Kori Krill Oil is standardized to meet a total of 250 mg of Omega-3 EPA & DHA per serving. The specific breakdown of EPA and DHA is typically around 2:1 EPA to DHA but it will naturally vary somewhat. That means it is approximately 167 mg EPA and 83 mg of DHA. Each batch of oil is tested to assure that it meets the specification of 250 mg EPA & DHA in total.
