On day 1, empty package #1 into your fish tank and mix well. On day 2, empty package #2 into your fish tank and mix well. On day 3, empty package #3 into your fish tank and mix well. After the 4th day you should notice that the planaria are either all gone, or that they have stopped moving and will eventually disappear. PLEASE make sure that after the 4th day that you conduct a water change and thereafter conduct regular water changes. This is particularly true for aquariums heavily infected with the planaria because the dead planaria will begin to decay and will raise the ammonia and nitrite levels if not monitored. But not safe for planaria, hydra, detritus and most snails. **Q: How much is a spoonful** A: The spoon included matches my 1/4 teaspoon (1.25ml) spoon **Q: Does anyone have an accurate dosage by weight per gallon?** A: One spoonful on my standard digital kitchen scale didn't even register as 0.1 ounce, as it is a very fine powder and has very little weight. You'll have to dose by volume and not by weight. One spoonful treats approximately 50 liters, or about 13 gallons. You can Google "Gallons to Liters", calculate out how many liters your tank has, then divide that number by 50 to calculate how many spoonfuls needed per dose. To dose my 5 gallon tank, I calculated that my tank is about 18 liters or so, which means that 1 spoonful was way too much - I only needed about 2/5 of a spoonful. To measure out a small enough dose, I put one scoop of the powder on a flat piece of paper, cut the amount in half, and then took a bit out of the 1/2 portion to put a little less than 1/2 a scoop into my tank for the first day's dose.
