A few days ago an elderly gentleman recommended Topricin. He told me it made his knee arthritis pain disappear after just rubbing it on and walking a few steps! Well of course, I was skeptical. I have tried Aspercream (sp?), Ben Gay and Icy Hot. They soothe until the warm sensation goes away but they do not help, and they certainly do not encourage healing. Long story short--I tried this stuff. My story is much like my friend's. I put it on my bursitis hip--walked a few steps and found the pain was gone. It's not a miracle cure in a tube. I think people here saying it didn't work for them expected too much. It doesn't work for every cause of pain and it doesn't take ALL pain away, which I think is a good thing. Pain exists for a reason. It's your body telling you not to do something because it's causing you damage. To completely mask the pain would make you oblivious to the fact you're further hurting yourself. So I'm glad for the little ache in my hip to keep reminding me not to do something stupid and reinjure myself. But at the same time, the pain is cut in half at least, and every day it is getting less, and causing me to not need Ibuprofen. This stuff says it encourages healing, it really does. I am absolutely amazed at this product and I fully intend to keep buying it as long as they make it--or until something better comes along.
