I bought this tea kettle for my mother a few months ago, and I’m really impressed with it. It has a solid, well made feel, and the hinged lid design is very convenient, it stays attached and opens to the side, which makes filling and cleaning much easier.It heats up quickly, which is great for everyday use. One downside is that the handle gets hot, so you’ll need to use potholders or oven mitts. However, since it’s made entirely of metal, that’s understandable.The whistle is pleasant, clear and noticeable without being too loud or harsh, so it’s easy to hear when the water is ready without being jarring. Overall, I’m very happy with this tea kettle, and its design is simple and visually appealing.

Just received the kettle. Have not used it yet. Looks very nice. Seems well constructed German technology. The lid will not fall off when pouring the water. The mystery is that is says in description “made in China”. I see nothing China about it. Including instructions. Would be good for Amazon to clarify. Looking forward to using this for a lot of years.Update: Really like the kettle. Becsure lid is properly secured for two reasons: will not come off when pouring and regulates whistle sound. Whistle good reminder. Handle did not get hot but we should always beware. When washing the kettle for the first time be very sure to clean under the top rim and spout. Use paper towel be sure residue is gone. Enjoy your tea.

This kettle is high quality, bright and shiny, pours well without dripping, and the handle was cool to the touch when it was boiling - but if it was hot, that would have been fine too. I’m very glad I spent the extra $$ to get this one. It’s gorgeous and functional. I think it will last a while. I love the look of it on the stove, very classy.

Excellent kettle, but a bit on the expensive side. It is well made from high-quality stainless-steel material and heats water very quickly. The kettle itself looks great and comes with a nice polished finished. The whistle is loud enough to hear, and it is not too irritating of sound. As for the handle not getting hot like we have read in other reviews, it sure not the case with ours – the handle gets hot, and we must use a silicon pad to prevent getting burned (4 stars because of this). Still, we are satisfied with the performance of this item as of the date of this review.

This absolutely a great water kettle! The workmanship is incomparable to other kettles. I love the whistle and it’s just the right sound. The lead fits great. I love that. It’s rust resistance because of the stainless steel and the way it was made. I love stainless steel products so it’s just absolutely beautiful. The only thing I would say is it is a little overpriced. I would say by about $20. But I’m very glad I bought it anyway. Cause it’ll last me a lifetime.

Excellent, well constructed! I heat water for tea, several times a day and this looks like it will last me for several years. Also, it has a very tight sealing lid and a reasonably loud whistle that, even my half deaf ears can hear easily. The polished stainless steel, makes it very easy to keep clean. A little white vinegar and a soft cloth, keeps the fingerprints and calcium deposits from building up.

Beautiful stainless steel. Is exactly what a tea kettle should be.

My wife and I are getting rid of the “coated” cookware products. We don’t trust any of it. We bought this kettle because it looked solid and not coated. It has turned out to be the best tea kettle we have bought. It heated a full kettle faster than any kettle we ever used. The kettle is easy to handle and pour, but when they said the handle gets hot, they ain’t kidding about that. It comes with a hot pad. I read the reviews about people bitching about the whistle about it being weak. The whistle works fine. It’s not freight train or wake the baby loud if that’s what they meant. So far, we’re quite please with the style and quality. Seriously though, the handle will light your ass up. Guess how I know?

This is such a good kettle. We bought it after the plastic component on our last one melted when someone left it on the stove too long. All metal components - sturdy build - nice whistle - good capacity - would highly recommend!

Great quality (design and build). Kettle lid can be removed after boil unlike le creseut kettle we returned. Easy to clean. Works great on hot plate and induction. Also light and easy/comfortable to pour. Have owned other kettles that are heavy and/or unbalanced making pour difficult. Can't fault it.

Have been using this kettle for a couple of weeks now. Appears very well made, from polished 18/10 (grade 316) stainless steel. It is actually quite lightweight compared to the rather rusty Le Creuset kettle it replaces, but has a solid base and does not appear in any way flimsy; it is well engineered, and nicely fabricated. Works well on our induction stove. Handle stays very cool.Some reviewers commented on the whistle being quiet, but this was not our experience. Whistle starts out at a reasonable level, as you would want, but becomes ear piercing if you do not attend to it... as it should :-)Our only issue is that it is hard to see where the water level is, as the interior is also highly polished stainless and the water surface does not show up very clearly... but that is not a complaint, just an observation.International shipping to Australia was reasonably fast - around 7-10 days.Very happy.

A lovely kettle. As with all polished metal, one has to keep on top of keeping it clean. The handle really does become very hot so a mitt or tea towel is necessary to avoid a sudden dropping of it because of a burnt hand. Perhaps a nice sturdy wooden handle would have been a good idea.

It is supposed to have a "cool handle". I have had to buy a pot holder as the handle gets Very Hot. They did not mention that the handle can move which I found very odd. Cannot understand why it was designed like that. It is definitely below the quality I had expected considering the price I paid.
