Samsung MC28A5135CK Convection Microwave With Slim Fry, 28L, Black

I can't believe the difference that this has made to my life, cooking times have been reduced as well as the guidelines for cooking different products. Very easy to operate and clear instructions

Having my old sharp standard microwave break down after years of service I opted for the Samsung microwave for 4 reasons. The Grill, Oven, Microwave & Slim fry option. As my old cooker is getting on a bit it made sense to get this particular microwave. I've been using it for over week and have not been disappointed by it in any way. Convection oven works perfectly, as does the grill, & microwave. The presets seem to be perfect for the relevant foods. The grill in my opinion is much quicker than on my aging cooker, the convection oven is as effective as my older fan oven maybe better. I can't find any faults even though some reviews say it's not as powerful as other microwaves, as it replaced an older 800 w microwave I find this one easily more powerful

We didn’t find the functions were particularly well. We only tried to cook the fried chips once they were soggy so didn’t try again. In actual fact, this microwave was worse quality than a cheaper one that we’ve had for the 10 years previously and developed to fault very quickly. Considering how expensive this microwave was, this was a massive letdown. Amazon, however, were brilliant and have issued us a full refund. There is clearly a recognised problem with this particular model because since it developed the fault, I noticed it is cropping up in reviews and felt I should write a review as a result. Also hopefully it will save someone else to bother that we’ve had.

Good value for money

It's a bit bigger than I thought but it's great has lots of different features. Not used all yet will come back when we have. It's very smart looks lovely in our new kitchen. It's a smart micro wave too. There is nothing to dislike definitely a 👍👍 up

I got this during black friday deal for half price. I wanted a bigger microwave but this ticks a lot of boxes. You can use it like an air fryer or a grill or a microwave. There are other options as well. I do find it takes a bit longer than my other microwave but that might just be because it is new and I am getting used to it. I would say the only issue I will have in the future would be cleaning around the grill at the top of the microwave inside but it might not be that hard.

Above expectations

This product would occasionally cut out / power off at the end of a cooking cycle and need to be power cycled to get it to switch on again, wiping out the clock settings. This became more frequent over time until it now has given up completely after 16 months. The unit is large but the turntable motor is very weak I expected a higher build quality from a Samsung branded product
