Zen Naturals Yoga meditation crescent pillow with firm stuffing to support weight (Burgandy)

I like this cushion but it is soft filled with polyester pillow stuffing rather than buckwheat hull like another meditation cushion I have. Depends if you want firm or softer cushion and I happen to like both.

Bought this as a gift for my SO, who meditates just about daily. I've not used it, but she loves it. She's trustworthy.

I've never really been too into Yoga as an exercise or relaxation technique but my best friend always has. It almost seems as if it is a lifestyle. Lately yoga includes not only exercise and self relaxation but a "green friendly" lifestyle implementing organics into almost everything used. I've always been a pilates girl but I recently decided to give it a try since it IS more than just an exercise and now being pregnant it's easier for my growing body.At one of my recent yoga classes, we used Meditation Pillows at few points for support. So when Zen Naturals asked if I'd be interested in reviewing their Yoga Meditation Crescent Pillow in exchange for a discount, the timing couldn't have been more perfect. I was pretty psyched about the arrival of the pillow and not only wanted to take it to show off at my class but also for use around the house.I loved how sturdy this pillow seems to be. If I need to wash the cover I can easily remove it. I like how comfortable this makes my tush during class and how it helps support my spine better. I've also been using this when sitting on the floor with the kids at home. While $50 seems extremely costly especially for something as simple and small as this pillow, the quality is well worth it especially if you take part in yoga.

This Yoga pillow is very comfortable. I was concerned about how much support it would offer since it's fairly soft. While lying on your back, the cushion compresses to give you about an inch and half of support. It doesn't go all the way flat. My favorite Yoga move is laying backwards with my legs extended and pull my chest up off the ground. This releases tension off of my spine and helps me manage my back pain. I've been using a large pool noodle for this stretch but it's too firm. This pillow really surprised at how easily and quickly it popped my back and released the pressure. Due to the softness, I honestly wasn't expecting such relief.My hips are already fairly flexible but the added support feels better than sitting solely on my Yoga mat. In the seated position it also compresses to about an inch and a half of support. I'm not a Yoga expert but I have been doing entry level Yoga videos on Youtube for a few months now. I think this pillow is exactly what I needed to make some positions easier for me, as a beginner. I would definitely recommend it. My only suggestion would be for the manufacturer to grade the firmness levels and offer various options.
