Will this work on shielded bearings?

This works on repack-able bearings only. Sealed bearings or those with rubber dust shields are not repack-able.

i can not get the botton out?

You pull the whole thing out, top and bottom, then when it's out, separate them (un-screw) and put bearing in and screw it together. I hope thats what you were asking.
