I purchased this thing 5 years ago and it has sat in my gear bag since. I finally got to use it on a motor vehicle accident with a driver in cardiac arrest. It was the easiest window break I’ve ever had and the driver survived the incident. I’m glad I made the purchase.

Had a bunch of life hammers, now I only buy this one. No other mounting system gives you the versatility right out of the box. Before I would use industrial Velcro to find an area in the car, but the heat in a car eventually led to this peeling off. This screw on mounting bracket just works. Haven't tested the hammer itself, but I hope it can crack a window like any other hammer.

We haven’t had to use this yet, thankfully. However, the mounting process can be a little challenging. It’s tight. Also, the holder does secure the hammer very tightly, but it may be hard for some people to pull the hammer out of the holder.

As advertised. For some reason I thought it would be a good Idea to have such a device for each car. I must’ve seen a tv show about a car off a bridge or in a canal, and needed to assuage my anxiety. I’ve not experimented with it on a piece of glass. Hope I never need it. I imagine one could use it in some way as a defensive weapon but, in that scenario too, I hope never to need it. Looks like it will work but more heft would make me more confident.

It was a little cumbersome to attach to the side drink holder and a little awkward to take out, so we just keep it in the glove cmpt or the arm rest in the middle front, so its on hand. Haven't had to use it thankfully, but sturdy and lightweight, no reason to not have this in the car just in case.

This tool has been in my trucks door storage for years collecting dust. Fast forward to tonight. I’m eating dinner and hear a loud noise. A jeep flipped over from over correcting. The driver got out and yelled that he couldn’t get his daughter out. Her car seat was stuck in a way where we couldn’t get to her release button and she couldn’t press it herself. The cutter sliced through the belt like hot butter without any risk to the girl. She was safe and sound once out of the car. Worth every penny and for every car.

Je crains que ce bel objet ne puisse venir à bout d'une vitre de voiture. Par contre il me semble ok pour couper une ceinture bloquée.

Très pratique grâce au système trtès ingénieux de fixation, ce qu'il est le seul à avoir.

The hammer seems good. Just a point to make to those that moan that the mount is no good, it’s actually very sturdy. Do up the tightening wheel as much as you can to fit the mount onto side door pockets but before you do so insert the Allen key into the end of the turning wheel. Once you slide the mount on you can then then turn the Allen key to make it really tight. I can see that if you’re turning the mount by hand it may become loose. ….hoping I never have to use the thing.
