BY FAR THE BEST VEGGIE SPIRALIZER EVER - STURDY ALL METAL AND EASIEST TO OPERATE!
This is by far and away the best vegetable spiralizer I've seen or tried. Do not waste your money on any other brand or model. THIS IS THE ONE! I've bought a few and returned them all for various reasons, until I found this ICO all metal vegetable spiralizer. It has far superior quality in every measurable way. And no, they didn't pay me to write this! It's super sturdy, doesn't slip on my counter, and requires very little effort to cut the veggies - slices through them with ease like cutting butter. (All the other brands I tried were really hard to operate, slipped on the counter, had no good place to hold onto them and required a lot of force to push the veggie through the blades, and left a lot of wasted veggie). This ICO spiralizer comes with 3 different cut patterns. No rickety plastic parts to break or wobble, and it's precision engineered so the cut is near perfect and uniform. Oh - and unlike other brands, there is little to no waste - no big stub or central core left uncut - this model spiralizes right to the very end leaving just a tiny slice maybe 1/3 inch thick that you can snack right up. The compact size of this unit means handling and storage are much more convenient than other models, and you still get "spaghettis" over 5 feet long from just half a zucchini! So don't waste your $ on a longer model as it's completely necessary. No worries here - you won't regret buying this one - just do it! Excellent customer service from ICO as well. Great for any vegetable preparation for meals, salads, soups, snacks and appetizers; also perfect for weight loss, low carb, keto, vegetarian, vegan and raw diets too. Do it!

Easy to use and to clean
Great device! The manual is basically useless but it's not hard to figure out how everything works. It's really fast and easy both to use and clean up (comes with a little brush which aids in cleaning the blade after use). The device has feet that lift it slightly off the surface but not enough that a plate will fit underneath; I have a thin plastic cutting board that I slide under it to collect the noodles, which works great. I've found a lot of sites dedicated to spiralizer recipes which have provided inspiration, since the meager manual has nothing like that. It comes with three blades which create three different thicknesses of curly noodles; see pics. If you remove the blade then it defaults to a built-in blade which makes an even fatter noodle. You can look at the blades and easily tell which will accomplish what; the distance between the blades signifies how fat of a noodle it will make. It spiralizes the veggie down to a little piece about a centimeter in thickness; I either eat this bit or save and toss into my next smoothie batch. I bought this in hopes I would substitute veggie noodles instead of piles of rice and it's definitely having that impact. It's also adding creativity (and healthfulness) to my dishes. Swapping the blades: remove the existing blade by pulling the metal tab toward you. It releases easily. To put in a new blade, slide the blade into the open slot, with the number on the metal tab facing in against the device, at the base, then push the tab back. You will be able to see the number on the tab when it's in position. (It sounds more complicated than it is, it just takes a second and doesn't require any strength.)

Works better than most, but could be improved!
The spiralizer works well and is made out of metal, much sturdier than the plastic versions. However, I wish they would thread the shaft that pushes the vegetables, like apple peeler/corer/slicers do. Without the threaded shaft, it is too hard to cut hard vegetables like carrots.

Durability and Surpassing Utility!
Savvy shoppers crave real world reviews. We have purchased an ICO 4-Blade Spiralizer, and have enjoyed its use for a number of months. With gratitude for the positive experience, we offer the following words. Our home kitchen, as well as adventures in food production, exceed the norm. We weekly experiment with a minimum of three new dishes, as well as new forms of preparation. In this vein, and with the encouragement of a number of entire cookbooks devoted to a theme, we undertook an adventure in “spiralizing”. Our initial foray was with a hand-held tube, with blades inside, into which one inserted a vegetable, and then pivoted, using two hands, both the food and the device. Spirals of vegetable emerged. With this we discovered non-carbohydrate forms of “pasta”, and dishes that featured raw or sautéed veggies that were a great deal lighter in the aftermath than your standard spaghetti dinner. In a desire to up-grade the quantity of what we could spiralize, we sought a model that would forego the limitations of the size of vegetable that could be processed by the “tube”, as well as the tedious method of rotating hands. With research on Amazon, we determined that the weakness of crank operated spiralizers was the fact that they were made of plastic (the majority of models for sale). To endure the stress of cranking fat carrots or hard butternut squash required a design both massive, and bulky. These two features lead to products which further required large washings and some disassembly. Dissatisfied, we sought a spiralizer fashioned from the more obvious choice of structurally sound materials: metal. Metal that would not rust, or be too clunky. In this pursuit, there were few choices. We settled on the ICO 4-Blade Spiralizer. There were some negative reviews regarding the sharpness of the blades, and we nearly decided to live without any spiralizer in our kitchen. Thank goodness my wife quietly ordered the ICO Spiralizer. It arrived quickly, and undamaged. It was smaller than plastic models (so much better for storage in an already well-supplied kitchen), and it was made of metal that has not corroded in any way in the half year that we have used the device often. The blades have all been sharp enough. One can produce a number of different shapes of vegetable “noodle” (four!), including one that provides sheets of food, much in the shape of an apple peeled in one long piece. Vegetables such as butternut squash can be cut into portions that are accommodated by the tool, such that all of the squash can be rendered into a pile of delightful “noodles”. Best was the support of ICO’s customer service. Our spiralizer had arrived missing one of three blades (the spiralizer has one blade which is permanent; one can operate with just that blade, or add one of the three possible detachable blades — which are held onto the spiralizer in a most clever and easily installed manner!). Customer service was exceedingly responsive, and when a replacement blade was not soon forthcoming, their decision was to send us an entire, new ICO 4-Blade Spiralizer. This, in lieu of a blade which cost likely no more than pennies. Experience the strength and functionality of this wonderful tool. And prepare to have a great deal of new food fun in the process.

Compact, functional, serves its purpose
This is the first ever spiralizer I bought. I like it and it is oddly much more fun to eat vegetables when they are cut into long ribbons. What I like: It's not bulky and it works well, as long as you have a bit of finesse while using it. You have to understand how to put pressure on it just right to create the spirals, which isn't that hard, honestly. What needs improvement: You have a 1" food waste and have to cut your veggies to fit. Another problem is that they have to be at least one inch round to be able to lock into the back part, but especially with carrots, that becomes a challenge, because they aren't always that thick. Then the piece that you stick them on to is short, and carrots often break. My suggestion for the company to fix this design flaw and minimize waste is this: Have a needle that lifts up, so you can put your whole vegetable on it. This needle should be the length of the rotating arm. The rotating arm needs to have a hole in the middle, so that needle can fit with the rotating arm (a needle within the arm). That will minimize waste.

super easy and sturdy
Wonderful! I have spent days on researching spiralizer. This one only had 60 reviews which were excellent, probably due to lack of promotion. Other bigger companies heavily promote theirs to bloggers, and earned reputations, Amazon picked whatever has the most reviews or the most sales. In my opinion, this one has lack of exposure which leads to less sales and small number of reviews.I hardly ever leave reviews but I wanted to do it for this one to give fair treatment. Very sturdy. It says all stainless steel blade. Other parts seem to be stainless but they won't contact with food directly. Before I purchased, it was not clear whether it was made with non stainless steel metal, once but I got it, my worry was gone. This works wonderfully. This is my first sipiralizer. It was easy, working just as it says it would. Many other spiralizer reviews have complaints that it doesn't work or it's hard to operate. I was cautious because I don't want to order one and not able to use it on everyday basis. With this one, It wasn't hard at all. I could spiralize easily hard potatoes, beets, carrots, kohlarbi, as well as soft zucchini. and I'm a woman in mid 50's. If anyone is looking for angel hair noodle, this one doesn't have that thin blade, but slightly wider in width. I'm content with it. If anyone wants to spiralize huge vegetable like cabbage, this won't work. It can only work on about 2-2.5 inch diameter. If it's less than 3/4 inch in diameter, it might break. If it's too big, you wuld get pieces instead of long continuous noodle. Cleaning is super simple. Preparing veges is much more fun now, so is eating them. I ordered more for family members.

Lack of threading on the shaft (terms?) a fatal flaw
I wanted this spiralizer because it looked simple and sturdy. I didn't want a plastic one full of tiny extra parts that I would either have to store or throw away just to keep the clutter down in my kitchen, and this seemed perfect. But one MAJOR problem: no threading on the shaft! Now I'm no engineer so sorry if my terms aren't correct, but take a good look at the picture: that is a solid metal beam in the middle, meaning you are using brute strength to force the veggies sideways through the blade. I have a fantastic apple slicer/peeler that I adore, also simple and all-metal, and that baby is threaded, so all I do is turn the crank and it smoothly and evenly pushes the apple through the blade. It's magical. This one is all about muscling it through, and two of the suction cups arrived warped and didn't form a seal with the countertop to boot, so the whole thing was a-movin' while I tried to keep it down with my left hand and perform the very awkward crank-and-cram motion with my right arm. Based on other reviews, this secondary suction cup flaw might be rare. WORD to Impeccable Culinary Objects: check out how them Apple Slicer engineers are doing things nowadays and make an improved model!! This baby is headed back.

Much better than other ones I've tried
This is the 5th spiralizer I've tried, and without doubt the best. It works better than others and it's easier to store. I paid full price for this and bought two more as gifts. Blades are sharp and don't chew, squash, or crack your food. It turns very smoothly. The prongs to grip vegetables are 3/8" long flat metal plates, and they hold food much more securely than other spiralizers. The whole thing is very small, about the size of a tub of ice cream, and it easily fits in a cupboard. There are no attachments to store, just a couple of extra blades. Almost no cleaning, either. I've tried handheld, electric, and two countertop crank versions, and this is easily my favorite. Dimensions: Base is 8" x 3" and the whole thing is 5" high. When you store it, the handle pushed all the way in adds another 2-1/2" to the length. Pros: See above - practically perfect and works like a breeze. Also doesn't leave a core of wasted food. Cons: * This only has three options, thick/thin noodles and ribbons. But it's very easy to switch between them. * Prongs will not hold or cut thinner carrots (vegetables need to be at least 1" wide) * Food needs to be max of 5" long * Suction cups could be better, but worked fine with a little water * You still need some effort to push the food toward the blade as you turn. Easier with soft vegetables (zucchini), more effort for hard foods (potatoes)

Excellent produit

Versatile, durable, sustainable, super! Buy with confidence.
How to write a very positive review without it looking like fake one. Here goes. My first spiralizer was the common plastic sort which produced good spirals but was problematic for a number of reasons (it was huge and took up a lot of space, the feet fell off, it was right-handed only and I'm left, cleaning was arduous) and then the plastic pins that keep the veg in place during spiralling broke off when working with butternut squash (built in obsolescence). Pretty hopeless. Reviews of electric ones were not encouraging and they were also huge. But this one is ideal - metal and durable, small and discreet, can be used right or left-handed, easy to clean. Made the way things should be made - and not bad for the planet with heaps of plastic (did you know all plastic ever made is still around somewhere). Produces lovely spirals from all sorts of vegetables - I use it every day.

Genial!
