Phone: Galaxy S8+ charging style: wireless charging wireless charger: TAPTES Model 3 gen 2 I purchased this car charger hoping to get fast wireless charging on my phone, seeing its power output and the good reviews. At first, I was disappointed because it wasn't triggering the fast wireless charging (and if you have a Samsung don't expect it to) , but after a little research, it actually seems to be charging at the same speed. I added a few photos showing what I mean. In the photo where it says "charging wirelessly" it's using the Anker charger, and in the photo where it says "fast charging wirelessly" it's using a Samsung car charger, I bought a few years ago. although it says it will finish charging to 100% a lot faster, that's actually wrong, the time with the Anker charger wasn't accurate (every few minutes the timer would drop by a chunk, slowly closing up with the "fast charger"). And that brought me to think maybe I should use a charging app to check. I added 2 photos showing the time it took to charge from 40% to 50% on both chargers and it's practically the same. I think it's not showing the "fast wireless charging" because of a combability issue, but charging speed isn't affected and it's an amazing product overall. I would love the company to be aware of such issues. It took a lot of energy and time to figure this out. The design is amazing and it fits well. Overall amazing product and I am very satisfied.

High quality charger! Since purchasing Anker’s battery pack, I’ve become a diehard fan of theirs! This charger was a quick charger and really gave me a sense of confidence when using it. With the cheaper alternatives that I’ve used, over time there’s an odd burning smell or it is hot to the touch or falls out of the outlet. This charger doesn’t get hot even over long car rides, and charges 2 devices way faster than the USB port in my car. The only thing I can think of the be careful of is that the head of the device sticks out a little bit so depending on the placement of the outlet you may have an issue. By far the fastest car charger I’ve ever used and is so great that I bought 2! One at the store while I was stranded with a dying phone and no matter which charging port I plugged my phone into, it wouldn’t charge... I bought this and it started charging right away. (The lady at the desk gave me a “free” car charger with my purchase of the cable and although the light came on the charger it did nothing for my phone..I traded in the cable, still nothing, then bought this charger and thank goodness it worked!) The second I bought off amazon for my brother since he’s got an older model vehicle without USB charging. It also has a cool blue glow and is aesthetically pleasing!

I have had several car chargers and never have I had one that works as well as this one. I drive all day for work and I constantly have to charge my work phone as I use it for GPS as well as a personal phone that I use to play music in my vehicle while I drive. This car charger handles both with no problem. I have had other car chargers that would barely charge my phone while it is using Google Maps but this one charges pretty rapidly regardless of Google Maps navigation running. I have also had other charges that would give me problems after a few months and would constantly turn off and back on repetitively but not this one! It also has a relatively small and compact size yet looks very elegant (I like the subtle lighting around the USB ports). If you want a powerful and reliable car charger I HIGHLY recommend this one, it wont let you down.

I have had this charger for a few months now and been using it daily to charge my iPhone 6s. So far no issues and it performs as advertised. I'm pretty sure that Apple products don't support Quick Charge, but it does charge my iPhone a bit faster than the little white wall plug that the iPhone came with. Having an extra USB port pumping out extra juice is also helpful. There have been times when I needed to charge my BT headphones or power my GPS (for longer trips) and the 2nd USB port was quite handy. It eliminates the need to use up my other 12v port and keeps the car neat. The look and feel of this car charger is awesome! I love the carbon fiber look and the blue LED lit ports look cool. It fits tightly in the 12v port and stays put. I can honestly say that there is nothing I don't like about this charger. Yet another quality product from Anker.

Updated comment: Anker was immediately responsive to my first comment, being amazingly customer oriented to understand how I could be compensated for the work on the fuses and my overall concern about this charger. They asked the excellent question about the serial number, to help determine which version or manufacturing batch might have had issues. This also implies a focus on product excellence, in addition to their great focus on customers. Beyond 5 stars for their response! I am impressed with their overall product line, and will continue to purchase Anker products. However, my experience noted below prevents me from giving it 5 stars. On the other hand, given their focus on high quality products and apparent continuous quality improvements, I wouldn't at all be surprised if the issue I had is no longer a problem with their current versions of this charger (compared to when I first purchased it in Feb 2017). Previous comment: Worked great for about 5 months, then the car outlet I had it in stopped working. So I switched over to separate outlet (on apparently a different car circuit), and it worked fine until today. Okay, thought it was a simple matter about the fuses, a separate fuse for each outlet. However, after changing the fuses, it still wouldn't work. Both of the new fuses, verified good before installing them, were also blown. So I again installed new fuses, but this time used a different QC 3.0 charger (Aukey), and didn't have the same problem - worked fine and the fuses didn't blow. Also, it had always been a bad fit with one of the outlets, extremely difficult to pull out.

This might be the Ferrari of power adapters...low-slung, beautiful, powerful, fast...but it’s not red. ;-) This charger is all that you would hope, with more than enough power to charge anything up to two tablets, as fast as they can be charged, and at 39 watts, among the very best options for a laptop charge in the car, if you don’t have a 110v power inverter. This charger will provide one of the fastest charging options for anything up to a full-sized tablet, as it intelligently queries you device, and charges at the fastest safe power/speed. BUT, to see it’s greatest speed you must have a phone/tablet/etc. that has the latest fast-charging technology. Apple products do not have the correct chip(s) to take advantage of its top speed. It will still charge your Apple products at the fastest safest rate possible for them, just not as fast as say the Samsung S8 you might have plugged in beside it. The power adapter is delivered in a beautiful, well designed and constructed box. You know, just the the time, Care, and expense put into the packaging, that the product must be of high-quality too. The device itself is beautifully constructed, of high-quality materials and best manufacturing methods. The adapter has a reasonably low installed profile, against the socket, given all the electronics required to provide this class of power and speed. Anker builds some of the finest devices in their class, and this is no acception. It’s top face is only about a 1/2” above the surface of the power socket in your vehicle. The USB sockets glow with blue led lights, that makes them easy to locate in the dark. (I have seen alternatives that glow red, but not quite as capable) They glow fairly strongly, so depending where your plugging this in, they will be quite noticeable. This should not be a deciding factor. Purchase them, and try it in the dark. If it’s too bright, or blue isn’t the best color with your dash lighting at night, then return it. I’ve seen nothing lower-profile charger with this much power and intelligence, with two USB outlets, that supports the current fastest charging chips in portable electronics currently. You can’t find a better choice.

A very nice upgrade from my previous Anker 24W dual USB car charger. I originally bought the 24W charger when I first got my Galaxy S6 2 years ago and this charger has been brilliant since then. However, as I recently upgraded to the Galaxy S8 I needed something more. This charger was sent out to me at the perfect time. Design: the design is well rounded I'd say. It's bigger than standard car chargers but not huge as you'll see in the video. Also the size is what makes it better in my opinion as the spacing between the 2 USB ports makes it perfect for when you need to plug 2 cables in. So no matter what size the cables are they will both fit in comfortably no issues. I love the look (black and blue is my favourite) and its a really nice feeling charger. Quality: the quality is right up there. It's a really solid build that I know will last me fine just like the previous one I had. The USB ports are perfect fits and this was the main thing for me: it supports quick charge 3.0. As you'll see in the video, when I plugged this in and connected it to my Galaxy S8 using a good quality USB C cable (from Inateck) it actually said it was fast charging the phone. This is the first time I've plugged any of my galaxy phones since my S6 where a car charger was able to fast charge my device. This is an automatic win for me and anyone with a brand new phone that supports quick charge who has a car should buy this. Price: the price is a bit more than standard chargers but as I said previously - you can't beat the charging speed. You are getting your moneys worth here and actually paying for what you get. This is my 2nd Anker car charger (I've had the first one for over 2 years now and it still works great. I've been using these for 8 months now to charge my phone and they still work great. I live in a hot climate as well and I haven't had any issues because of the heat. The illuminated USB ports are a nice touch and go well with the blue lighting in my car. Really happy with them.

Non sbaglia, anzi stupisce anche stavolta con qusto caricatore usb fast charge da auto, composto da un design veramente accattivante, con il suo bel motivo in fibra di carbonio. ben 2 prese usb fast charge, che garantiscono una carica veloce a tutti i dispositivi idonei a questa tecnologia. ESPERIENZA Arrivavo da un normale caricatore usb, datato ormai, lentissimo nella carica dei dispositivi. Ormai ero esasperato e ho colto l'occasione di cambiarlo quando ha smesso di funzionare. UTILIZZO Lo tengo sempre in macchina, attaccato alla presa accendi sigari, il suo design fa si che lo amiate dal primo utilizzo. Color carbonio, con luce blu che si accende all'accensione del quadro. lo lascio sempre inserito da grande patito delle luci colorate! È possibile collegare fino a 2 dispositivi, io collegando il mio S7 e il Huawei di mio fratello sempre con quickcharge, non ho notato rallentamenti nella carica. IMPORTANTE La carica veloce funziona soltanto con i dispositivi che supportano questa tecnologia, potrete comunque collegare altri telefoni anche datati: il caricatore riconoscerà la batteria del dispositivo, ed erogherà la giusta quantità di corrente, senza danneggiare il device collegato. Ricordate che per poter usufruire della carica veloce, dovrete necessariamente acquistare cavi idonei a questo utilizzo, i normali cavi funzionano ugualmente ma non facendo passare abbastanza corrente al loro interno, impediscono la carica veloce. Funciona perfectamente la QuickCarge 3.0, no se calienta y cumple perfectamente, cargando 2 dispositivos a la vez. La única pega el precio, se tienen que pagar los royalties a Qualcom... Calidad en los acabados, es plástico pero muy agradable al tacto y denota calidad.
