Almost a 5 Star but I had to make modify something (also purchased ALARM)
OK, so my father is up there in age. This has caused some problems with his medications over the years. For at least 20 years I would pack his pills in those weekly pill boxes that said AM and PM and Sunday - Saturday. These were great when my dad was able to easily understand what day of the week it is. Now that he is not as mobile and spends a lot of time in bed, sometimes he forgets the day of the week and was taking pills from different days and sometimes forgetting to take pills at night or at different times all together. This was becoming a big Challenge and causing the wrong results for the purpose of taking the pills. So I ordered him this nifty pill reminder box set with Alarm. The first one arrived without the ALARM but that got worked out (Thanks to Amazon, not the seller) and I got the ALARM a week later. In the mean time I set up his pills and set up the Alarms. Even though it can do I think 4 ALARMS a day I chose to skip the mid day pill ALARM. I still had to set it but I could choose to not have the alarm go off. This was a concern when buying it because someone said they couldn't skip an alarm but in reality you can, you just have to set it still. So the first week my dad was taking them, he was a mess. I mean he did not get it at all. He would take the boxes out and not look at the numbers and just still take whichever he wanted. Sometimes I found the boxes on the other side of the room. Finally I explained again and again that there are numbers to match the date, the date on his watch or the clock or his phone. Something clicked. OK, now the other problem was from the laying in bed, he could not see the numbers on top. (Yes I know, this should not be a problem but he has decided lazy is his way and he doesn't want to put that much effort into taking pill). So I took my crafty labeler and not only made new numbers but had green and red tape so I could make it match as they do on the top. This could be done with red and green pen with any paper stuck or glued on but it made a world of difference. Now he takes them in a new routine, on time. If he forgets and the alarm goes off, he now takes them. Hardly any more missed pills still in the boxes when I go to re fill them. The nurses are amazed at the boxes to, nice and tidy set up and makes it easier to keep track of what he has taken or missed. The only reason I did not put 5 stars for easy to read is I wish they did make it so you can see it from the side. It is a large item full of pills. Most adult who are taking pills will put them up higher to keep away from kids or grandkids. So in not just for my dad but others I can see having to pull the entire item down to see the top of the boxes to make sure they are on schedule. I love the red and green though for when they are needed to be taken or have already been taken. Just couldn't see that before I marked them myself on the sides.

Easy to use and since purchase never missed a pill ...
Much needed and has reduced the stress of taking multiple pills for senior ! Easy to use and since purchase never missed a pill as the recording is loud enough that you can hear it from another room and does not not stop until you take pill .

Life saver
This pill organizer has truly been a life saver. My mother is in her 70s and has to take meds 4 times a day, at least 2 pills each time. Sorting out her weekly pills had become a chore and she often messed it up and put the wrong pills in the wrong compartment since it took two different pill holders (7 days, each with morning and night compartments) to make up the 4 times daily. Anyone would get confused with that, but it was what her doctor suggested! Even when the pills were sorted correctly, it wasn't uncommon for her to miss a dose, take the wrong pills at the wrong time, take two days worth at once because she was confused, etc. A few months ago, she started to have severe memory issues and we were able to trace it down to her accidentally taking her medications incorrectly. I live over an hour's drive away from her and she isn't ready to live with anyone yet, so we had to find a solution that would allow her to still remain independent at home. I found this pill organizer and now I set up her pills once a month, set the timer, and she is good to go. Within a week of getting this holder, her memory issues were all better because she was able to take her meds without any confusion at all! The alarm is loud enough to get her attention when she is in another room of the house. It's a very pleasant voice that says the day, date, time, and time of day (morning, noon, evening, bedtime). She says she no longer has to "think" about what pills to take because all the work is already done for her. I have recommended this product to everyone I know who takes pills more than once a day and Mom has asked me to order one for a lady at her church. It's so wonderful. You can set 1, 2, 3, or 4 alarms. Each container has the date on both sides, one side is green and the other is red, so you just have to pick up the next green, take the meds throughout the day, then put it back up red-side up. It is slightly difficult to set up 30 days worth of pills at once, so I would highly suggest getting some help if you get confused, but after that, it's so easy to use.
