So the hair is not protected from rubbing when using it to sleep. It has to be double-sided silk inside and out. I bought this cap to protect my hair from getting friction from the pillow. But now because the cap is unlined with silk fabric I'm protecting my pillow getting rub with my hair! While this isn't close to the quality of the lowest grade of silk, the higher the silk grade, the heavier and more dense it will be.
