Mine doesn't work great

I absolutely love this Carafe. It says in the description that it keeps things hot for 24 hours, but it lasts so much longer than that.I made my husband some hot water at 5 am for instant coffee and poured the rest of the water from my kettle into the carafe so he could take it to work. But he forgot to grab the pitcher as he was leaving and left it on the counter, after the kids left for school two hours later i noticed the pitcher sitting there so i decided to make myself a cup of coffee. The water was still piping hot. Around 12 pm i checked the heat of the water in the carafe again still piping hot so i made another cup of coffee. By 5 pm the water was still the same temperature and i made a cup of tea with it. After that i forgot about the water, cooked dinner and went to sleep. In the morning i got up to make my husband some coffee again and i thought shoot there is probably still some so i checked it and it was still a steady hot temperature, not piping hot but not cold or lukewarm, like the perfect hot temperature for coffee that you can safely drink right away. So i made him some out of it and sent him on his way. By 3 when the kids got home from school i was curious to see if the water was still hot and checked it again shockingly it was still nice and warm.Overall the water in the pitcher carafe stayed hot for over 36 hours. To me that is amazing.I am so excited for the cold weather to come now that i have this because i can take this anywhere that i have to go and have hot water or coffee on hand when i need it.The design is really nice too and handle is easy to hold as you are pouring it and using the spout button on the lid.The only thing i didnt like at first was the lid, it took some getting used to when putting it on the carafe. you have to put the lid on backwards spout handle towards the front and then twist it around to ensure that the spout handle twists tightly in place in the back. But now that im used to putting the lid on that way its no problem at all.Best hot water thermal pitcher i have ever owned.

the body is okay, but the top is cheap plastic. it is even rippled at the spout area. I don't know why the average ratings has been so high! I am very disappointed.

This is a really nice carafe that kept my mulled wine warm throughout a party. It looks nice and works well. Like other reviews indicate, be advised that the top portion (where the lever is to push while you're pouring) is made of plastic, while the rest of the carafe is stainless steel - so it feels a bit cheap in that regard. Also, this carafe is REALLY hard to clean, as only the small plastic top comes off (above where the spout and handle are), so I can't even fit my hand inside to scrub it. Other than these flaws, it's a really nice product and I'm glad I bought it.

Had high hopes for this item but returned it. The body of the carafe is sleek well-made stainless steel, but the handle, spout and lid are very cheap, painted plastic. Don't waste your money.

Doesn't keep water hot for a long time. I will be searching for a new one.

I purchased this for a Christmas Brunch at my home. We have a small coffee maker, and so I would have been brewing new pots all morning long. Instead, I brewed several ahead of time, and poured them into this handy pitcher. Yes, the top is plastic, but it's easy to screw it on and off. It also seems pretty large, but I suppose that's the point. I was surprised by how controlled the pour is - it didn't flow any differently based on how full it was. It kept a steady supply of steaming hot coffee for everyone until the meal was over. I look forward to using it again - for coffee, hot cider, hot cocoa, whatever. Thanks!

Did not keep fluids warm for 4 hours. I returned the item and ordered the Tiger Thermal Insulated Carafe, which keeps my fluids hot for 36 hours.
