The Original Stainless Steel Rolling Pin Featuring a Non-Stick Surface Perfect for Making Pasta, Cookies, Ravioli and Pizza

Well-balanced and works well in my small kitchen
This is great--it's much smaller than a conventional rolling pin, and fits well into the cabinets in my poorly-designed kitchen. It feels good in the hands; it's weighted, but not so much that it's a huge effort to roll things out. My mother has the old-school marble rolling pin, and I swear, my wrists are killing me by the time I roll out sugar cookies. This is well-balanced, and I didn't have any issues with sticking. It also seems like it could double as a quick method of defense, LOL (mini bo-staff, anyone? Napoleon?). I'm glad I purchased it!

Easy clean up
I really like this it's working for me however I wish there was a little more weight to it. It hollowed out I guess I was expecting it to be a little bit heavier. It's not thin enough to get dented but I find when rolling out pastry it likes to stick. It's hard flouring the surface of the rolling pin because its so slick the flour just falls off. These are just little things, I can make it work. I like the look of it and it's so simple to clean, there's no place for gunk to get stuck into so that's really nice. I will choose easy clean-up any day!

I really like it
I haven used the rolling pin yet. It looks just like the picture. Itβs very light (I was surprised how light it actually was. ) I will update my review after I have used it.Update: it works amazingly. I rolled out pizza dough very little sticking. I thought that the fact it was very light was going to be an issue, nope, not in the least. Works great ππ»

Gets the Job Done
This should not be the only rolling pin you own, but it's a great one to add to your collection! Nice and lightweight, and sleek and modern looking. Also, most satisfying to see the look of terror on hubby's face when I showed it to him (I guess most husbands are instinctively scared of the sight of their wives wielding rolling pins. Yeah, it might have had something to do with the fact that I hoisted it high over his head, but... nah).

More fragile than expected
Promoted as the βoriginal,β it leaves plenty of room for late-comers to improve design, manufacture, and, one would hope, description.Diameter is nominally 1.5β, but it is somewhat uneven and varies from 1.49β to 1.51β in diameter - surprising considering modern metal fabrication techniques. Probably not critical for dough, but unexpected.I purchased this particular model of the several 15.5β x 1.5β stainless steel rolling pens available because it claimed to weigh 11.2 oz., which meant that the wall of the tube would be thicker, thus stronger, than most others. The one I received DOES NOT weigh 11.2 oz.; it weighs 8.18.It appears to be made of a 4.7β x 15.6β sheet plus nominally 3.5 sq. in. of end caps, of stainless steel, which weighs nominally 4.64 oz. per cubic inch. Thus the wall is nominally 0.0227β thick. From the description, I had expected nominally 0.032 wall thickness, which is about 40% thicker than the product received. Is this deliberate deception or ineptness? Who knows? In either case, it is deceiving, and the product delivered is much more susceptible to damage than the one described.

Good for anything you need a rolling pin for!
I like the easy to clean metal. Feels very ergonomic, comfortable (for home use, I couldn't say what it would be like to use all day) It's different than the wooden type with handles that many of us grew up with. I feel fancy when I use it! I know a few women that keep one around for protection, and it's as good as any for that. Price was fair, I'd buy one again.

5/5
I used it to make Katarzynki, a sticky honey gingerbread dough. Lightly floured, this does not stick and works as described. Iβm a novice baker and the result impressed my friends and family who tried them. Would recommend for a sticky dough especially.
