Reminds me of a TN panel
Disclaimer: This was purchased elsewhere as it was cheaper. After looking at many reviews and also owning another LG monitor (27GL650), which is excellent, I can't help but feel disappointed in this display.Straight away, side-by-side with my 27" LG FHD monitor, I could tell something was off. Although I initially put this down to the resolution and size change, I quickly became aware that this monitor's display was sub-par. The only way I can describe is it wiashed out colours, like a TN panel. I remedied this slightly by cranking the brightness all the way up to 100, but it still looked dull. I also noticed that any slight deviation from looking directly at the screen would distort the colours even more, much like a TN panel. If I had come directly from a TN to this, I might have been impressed. But coming from an (older) LG IPS panel to this made me feel like I wasted my money.I took the display back today and got my money back. They guy at the store said this was the 2nd one they had received back in as many days. Might be a batch issue, but I wasn't willing to take the chance. If you're coming from a TN panel you might be alright with this, otherwise I would avoid.
