It is mostly mineral oil, which counteracts the moisturizing properties of the other oils in the blend. In short, mineral oil is a paraffinic (characteristic of wax) and forms a barrier on the skin and clogs pores. So in essence all the "good stuff" in this oil blend doesn't really make it into your scalp or hair. It also contains chemicals and parfum, so if you are sensitive/allergic I would suggest avoiding this one. This is the case for folks in my household, so we can't use this product.If it helps, here are some of the chemicals not shown in the product description or pictures - Benzotriazolyl, Dodecyl p-Cresol, Limonene. Look them up for yourself and decide if they bother you.
