Pretty nice.

Very nice! Heavy base with rubber feet so it doesn't slip. Easy to use and works every single time. Easily comes apart for cleaning. Tears the paper on the can, but you won't find an opener of this type that doesn't. Yes, it's a little more expensive than others, but you get what you pay for. However, Cuisinart (like most other companies) should discontinue the practice of putting sticky, hard to remove, labels on their products.

I had an older version of this model for years. It ceased working. I ordered a new one and it is almost identical to the old one. Easy to use. Opens almost any size can. Just make sure that the cutting head is seated or you can end up with the head in the opened can. Has only happened once. Hopefully I learned to be more careful.

Very good quality and a very attractive addition to my kitchen. The only flaw I’ve come across is when you’re opening a can that’s not a normal size can , like a 48 oz. can for example, you better put your hand under the can and support it as it opens the lid or it will fall off of the opener when the lid is finished opening and the can will free fall on to your counter top, making a big mess. I found this out when opening a big can of diced tomatoes, making the biggest mess you can possibly imagine.

I love how solid this is. This is not plastic. This is a very heavy stay in place can opener. It opens cans easily and cleans up easy. This was well worth the money. Tired of plastic can openers that break after a year then this is for you. Stainless steel looks good in any kitchen. Would recommend.

I purchased the Cuisinart electric can opener (model PG-15966A) in October 2022 because I have psoriatic arthritis in my hands and needed a dependable, low-effort option. Over three years and 2 months, it opened roughly 120 cans at most, so usage was very light. Given the ~$90 price, I expected significantly better durability. The unit ultimately failed due to a problem with the activation mechanism. After researching the issue, this model appears prone to microswitch failures, either electrical or mechanical. More concerning for anyone with hand pain, the opener never held cans securely; even small cans required steadying by hand, which undermines its purpose as an accessibility aid. For consumers with arthritis or limited hand strength, I would urge caution. Between the short lifespan, known design issues, and the need to support cans manually, this model does not deliver the reliability or ease of use its price suggests.

This product was priced reasonably, is easy to use and clean-up is so easy. It is great for those of us with arthritis. Just place the can in place, lock it down and the opener does the rest - hands-free while it’s operating. It actually completely removes the lid, holds the lid in place with the strong magnet on the handle and holds the opened can in place until you remove it. It’s really pretty cool. My kids love it too!

Gift for my mom. She loves it and said it is very good quality.

It would seem this product was sold to me annd I was unaware that it is rated at 120V for the USA. why wan't I informed of the voltage not suited to Australia. The reason I never said anything until now is that I never even opend the box till now August 2022.

Excellent can opener. Study and does a great job. Easy to take off and on, the blade and clean it.
