Easily digestible but comprehensive guide for all budding podcasters
This is an excellent handbook for anyone thinking about starting a podcast. Whilst embracing the democratic everyone-can-have-a-go nature of the medium, Gilly Smith offers her professional audio expertise to help ensure your production, storytelling and engagement might sound similarly competent. Packed with first hand advice and tips from such podcasting luminaries as Ira Glass (This American Life) and the 'My Dad wrote a Porno' team, there's also encouragement to do your own niche-thing and follow your passion. With vital tips on how to navigate the technical and administrative aspects of hosting, this books condenses this seemingly sprawling brave new world of media into something very manageable. A must-have guide.

Excellent information for would-be podcasters
I can’t recommend this book highly enough for anyone thinking of starting their own podcast. It is full of helpful information, tips and tricks, and some very insightful interviews - particularly the one with the “My Dad Wrote A Porno” crew, one of the biggest podcasts in the UK, about how they engage the audience and keep it relevant.
