This is a great kit and was easy to install after doing a simple YouTube search. They lasted 5 years with no problems and I would buy them in a heartbeat. They brake very well, smooth, and there was no rust. Break-in was easy, and they were quiet until the day I needed to replace them. Just a great, relatively inexpensive upgrade for a daily driver. One word of warning on a fundamental issue: If you ever need to resurface these rotors in the future, most local shops won't do it. In my case, the gouges in the rotors (not too bad, but required resurfacing) were due exclusively to the off road conditions of where I live - but I wasn't expecting to be turned away from every machine shop I called (they hadn't even seen them - this is standard practice that shops won't resurface slotted and drilled rotors for liability and safety issues removing material in an already lightened assembly). As a result, if you ever have any scratches on your rotors when it comes time to put new pads on, you are absolutely 100% locked into buying new rotors. But this isn't the product's fault (hence the 5 stars). That said, if you drive primarily on paved roads, I still say get them. If my local shop carried them, I would have bought them again when I was pressed to do my weekend brake job before a long trip.

They installed easy with no fitment issue. So far they’re quiet and offer excellent braking.

Update 05/10/2021 so.. 61500 ish on the truck, i put these on around 30000 ish. so they did what the original brakes did so far. my first 4runner (a 2004) needed brakes and calipers every 15000. at 30000 this truck needed rotors and pads, at 60000 it needs just pads (or so i am told, going in 05/12/2021). i got the powerstop pads this time since they did what the oem did. i dont know about you but every time i replaced the first set of brakes i used to get about 1/2 of what i got on the first set. heck i even got 85000 on one set but this is heavier truck so 30000 on a second set is great i highly recommend... heck powerstop if you want to send some decals i will proudly display them on my rear window Update 09/27/2020 50000 oil change. Still at 7mm which is still considered green by Toyota. Guessing last guy got it wrong. Still pleased. No warp. Great ride. Looks like I can just replace pads. I have about 20000 on them. And they are at or just over half life. They stop incredible. Absolutely love these. Update 07/06/2020 just got the 45000 oil change and the brakes are at 10 mm front and 8 mm rear. guessing the guy last time lied, this guy spent more time and i watched him measure. i have about 15000 on them now (give or take, i have the mileage written down somewhere), but they should exceed the original brakes and it looks like i can reuse the rotors next time too, so overall, they will of saved me 1000 for 2 brake jobs update 03/12/2020 just got an oil change and they measured the brakes, i have about 7000 miles on the brakes and they measured in at 9mm. new they are about 11.5, so 2mm for 7,000. i should get about what i got on the oem originals. maybe slightly less. and again i did up the tire size and went with lt's. i should be able to just replace the pads next time too, so overall, they saved me a lot of $$$$ update 01/13/2020 ok, I gotta admit, the stopping power is a lot better. they grab easily and sooner than the older brakes. if you ever drove a Toyota you know how well the brakes grab, and these are that much better. higher pedal height, overall very happy so far. they appear to be wearing well. I will have an update in about 4000 miles at next service, I did however go with an LT tire, and up one size don't know about longevity yet, but I will update that over time. just got them installed, yes the pins are the wrong size, so I also ordered them. the mechanic said these are the best possible brakes I could get (and he is a Toyota guy). I did the break in as described and they seem to be grabbing quite well. they did smoke during the break in process. the truck rides much nicer, no more little shake. if I get 20k out of these its worth it, with installation its still 40% less than the dealer.

GXs and runners have a tendency to eat through rotors. Replaced OEM with this and I couldn’t be happier. Zero noise, zero dust, pedal feel is solid and steady, first inch applies gentle braking and after that the bite is secure and smooth. Stops on a dime.

I had earmarked this purchase for my 4RUNNER which is a daily driver, but benefits from being doted on, in some respects, as a toy. Unfortunately, my wife's Lexus GX 460 brakes and rotors were condemned at a recent oil change and rotation appointment at the dealer. My wife is not like me. I bought her the Lexus as a treat for all she has done to suffer for our family - her first really luxurious vehicle. As such, when I got rid of the original tires (thats just what I do) I had to consider ride, and for the brake issue, I had to consider that the performance could definitely be lost on her, but if they were noisy, gritty, or otherwise notable for anything other than stopping, I would hear about it. This is a good kit. I bought extra hardware for the calipers, bought found they were already in the kit. The brakes stop quickly. Fade, even in the Smokies, is a non-issue. The brakes are quiet. There is no felt friction other than what is normal. The brakes quickly stop my wheels, and my Michelin Cross Climate 2s quickly stop the Lexus. The biggest praise is that my wife loves them. She doesn't care about tires, brakes, wipers, tools, or any of the things that concern me, she just wants things to work and work properly and quietly. She truly loves the brakes after I installed this kit.

Try to avoid these products I bought mine on December 2nd 2024 and I started having problems with the brake system being warped with only 15K miles out of the 36K of warranty and I only use it in City not even aggressive or off-roading feels like a spaceship when I break and when I call to customer service they denied warranty unless it was about crack rotors it was not even a year old or passed the warranty and they were already in a very bad condition regarding normal breaking paying the prize they cost it's not worth the price for drill rotors get yourselves a OEM they work better.

Easy to install, no issues with factory callipers, although I would recommend upgrading to power stop callipers as well to avoid issues with seized pins on the factory Toyota callipers.
