The thing that holds it up in my wheelchair are the armrests and the back of the wheelchair. It is very fluffy and so comfortable though and works great for my wheelchair. I think if you have a chair with armrest or something like that you could use it that way I am thinking. Hoping this helps. Passt auch sehr gut in den Rollstuhl rein. Wo ich etwas enttäuscht war, ist die Farbe, dachte es kommt ein kariertes Kissen, aber es kam in Blau.
