We are extremely pleased with it; particularly the large display and back-lighting features; which make it easy to read from across the room by a visually-impaired person. My only problem is the remote sensor is registering the wrong temperature. When I suspected this, i brought the monitor in and put it side by side with the main unit. Was off 4 degrees. My AC thermostat said 74, the main ThemoPro unit said 74, but the remote sensor was transmitting 78 degrees. So it's pretty much useless for what I bought it for. **Q: Is the display visible when not using the backlight?** A: Yes but poorly when you use the backlight, and it depends from what angle you are viewing it. It is excellent looking down on it from more than 10 degrees. Looking directly at it it is 90% visible. As you tilt it backward it rapidly becomes unreadable (looking up at it).
