An essential resource for poets
Fascinating to read, Christopher Buckley's new book is an essential resource to anyone who writes poetry or wishes to know the origins of some of the finest American poets writing today. What Buckley has done in Naming the Lost: The Fresno Poets Interviews & Essays is a great service not only to those who were among the Fresno poets, but also to the rest of us. Collected here are bios/auto-bios, interviews, poems, and photos that convey the energy and warmth of spirit in a community of poets nurtured by Philip Levine. He inspired many poets who continue to foster the same camaraderie in other communities. The reader finds not just history in this book, but also poets' reflections about their art and how they developed into finer poets. Buckley could have titled the book The Lives and Works of the Fresno Poets. With Naming the Lost Buckley emphasizes that these poets will not be lost to history.

It is thorough with some great interviews.
I am very interested though have only read a quarter of it as it is hefty and thorough.
