It seems that pouring in just enough to completely cover the bottom of the bowl would lube it.** A: I'm sorry to say this stuff was garbage. It was easier to just go buy a new seal than to waste the $ on this. Didn't even work a little bit. **Q: do i pour in while the toilet has water in it or should the seal be dry?** A: Pour in with no water. Make sure valve is closed. Pour about a 1/4 of container if I remember correctly and leave overnight. Fixed my seal. Hasn't leaked since **Q: Can it be used with valve lube or is this the same thing** A: The two products are compatible with one another and serve two different purposes. Toilet seal works in the bowl to keep the flush valve functioning . Valve lube goes straight into the blackwater (poo) tank and ALSO in the greywater (sink&shower) tank to prevent problems with the seals that keep the drain valves operational.
