Don't think twice, do it. It works!
The fan is plastic, questionably durable, but that's fine for me, I don't move around a lot. It has two means to attach it, both are ultimately removable (one a metal plate that screws down and one a suction device.) It defaults to Celcius, and is fairly loud running at high (though no louder than any other external fans I've ever had). It's small and easy to install. This has been an absolute miracle for my ASUS Strix Scar. For a gaming laptop, it's bizarre they put the heat syncs directly under the wasd keys, and it was making it unbearable to play. The skin on my hand couldn't take the heat generated by my gaming. Since the laptop vents under and to the sides, a latptop fan underneath wasn't cutting the heat. That kind would only blow more heat up under my fingers and around my person, making it a pretty hot area around me too. This pulls the vented air off to the side and away from me entirely. This fan's base also doesn't cover enough of the vents underneath to make it a concern. This is the perfect solution, and worth the price. It's worked very well, shuts off when my system does, and is pretty plug and play. I only wish it remembered my settings (F/C or Auto/Manual) between on and off. Otherwise, it's exactly what I needed, saved my system and my hands!

Actually works
Was skeptical on first impression and when learning to install, but I am actually impressed. This little thing does more on it's own than a cheap cooling pad. To be fair, I am fighting a known piece of junk with heating issues in an ASUS F15 laptop that is frequently hot and CPU throttled when gaming, and not much makes any difference short of a GT500 pad and the jet turbine engine level of noise that goes with it. I find that auto mode is not aggressive enough and I must run it manual mode with fan on highest setting, but this little vacuum by itself actually takes the top off the temps - laptop is still overheating, but less so, and it is obvious to me when playing a game that the CPU is not continuously throttled. This vacuum combined with a cheap (quiet) cooling pad makes the laptop usable, just not so much of a portable device...

The BEST EXTERNAL laptop cooler
Many comments I read for this cooler seems misleading. I love it and I will tell you pros and the cons. Pros 1.) It is very lightweight. 2.) it has bright digital display. 3.) Noise level is decent. Well, this is a fan. You are going to hear noise as the fan speed increases. This goes for any fan. 4.) it has LED indicator for manual mode, auto mode and off mode. 5.) Overall, Installation was easy but with exception. (will get to that later). 6.) Comes with everything you need to install this laptop cooler. 7.) Cools my laptop in less than 5 minutes. My laptop is ICE COLD very close to the laptop's vent, which is usually burning HOT. I left it running on Manual Mode at speed of 1. it was very quiet and my laptop was nice and cool. Cons 1.) Buttons on the cooler are hard to find if you are in a dimly lit room. 2.) The instruction it came with is very hard to read. The font size is just to small. 3.) Even though you get everything you need to install this cooler on to your laptop, you need to make sure your installation is good. Once I installed the cooler with the metal and red plastic with red 3m sticky pad, for some odd reason my laptop wasn't cooling down as fast as I thought it should, once I purposely got my laptop hot. It turns out the rubber that's supposed to form a complete seal around the laptop vent DIDN'T. So, I ended up sealing the opening with pieces of DUCT tape. Once I did that, my laptop is cold to the touch. :) So, look to make sure you have a complete seal around the vent. Otherwise, this cooler may not cool down your laptop. 4.) The red 3m sticky pad on the red plastic by itself is not good. It fell off after a minute or so. So, I ended up using Duct Tape over it to make it stronger. It did the job. 5.) There is an issue with Auto mode. This cooler comes with 3 different modes; Manual mode, Auto mode and Off mode. Manual mode is when you simply want the cooler running non-stop until you turn it off at the speed you set the fan to. Auto mode is when you want the cooler to automatically turn on and off when needed to cool your laptop. Off mode is simply turning it off altogether. So far Manual Mode is working like it should. However, I am not happy with the way Auto Mode is working. I set the cooler at Auto Mode for a while to see if it will ever starts running. It never did and I even got my laptop very HOT. It still didn't work, but it does work in a weird WAY. When I didn't see or hear it running at auto mode, I simply switched to manual mode for few seconds. Then, switched it back to auto mode and it started to work but only until it completely stopped after cooling down my laptop. After much testing, I came to a conclusion as to why this is happening. Manufacturer doesn't say anything about this. (Is this Cooler supposed to be used IN CONJUNCTION with your INTERNAL LAPTOP COOLER fan or JUST BY ITSELF?) You see my internal laptop fan is malfunctioning. (making noises and sometimes not running.) So, I removed the internal fan and installed this external fan on to the vent. From what I understand, LETS cooler's heat sensor can't sense temperature of your laptop if there is no INITIAL AIR flow. If so, you will need your internal laptop fan to run for the external fan's auto mode to work. Well, that S**KS. I can probably just over look this shortcoming and just let the fan run on Manual Mode at the lowest fan speed. Other than that this is a nice little laptop cooler fan especially for the price. I recommend this LETS Laptop Cooler fan to EVERYONE!!!!!!

Good portability! Dropped the temperature of my keyboard substantially
I had a trip planned not very long after ordering this cooler. My main laptop cooler, by this same company I believe, works FANTASTIC, but it is much too large to travel with. I was very excited for this one, entirely different set up. It kind of clamps onto your laptop and acts as a vacuum sucking out hot air from the side of your laptop. The charger itself isn’t much larger than a mouse, and its gets its power from the laptop so no extra plug in needed. My laptop gets extremely hot around where my CPU is, and this did fantastic as managing it. I didn’t get exact heat measurements but normally my laptop can get so hot that typing on the keyboard is physically uncomfortable. This set up kind of needs to use used at a desk, it would work in your lap or something but the unit just hangs off the side and its probably more at risk that way. Would recommend this for traveling, fantastic company and products.

Quality control issues
Worked one day. Next day, it powers off and on constantly (in manual mode). Of course powering off and on switches to auto mode, so I reset it to manual, and way for the cycle to repeat. I concur with complaints about instructions. There is a language issue. The first day it worked was great, noisy but great. It really cooled my CPU, with temperature reporting consistent with Lenovo vantage measurements. It was cheap, so I'll right it off, but save your money. <UPDATE> Although it appears to have a mind of its own, it is cooling my Lenovo P73 now. I just don't bother with the settings (AT/MT, whatever) and let it run. It's loud, but for the money, it's working.

Packs some power.
I have a 4090 in my laptop, as well as a laptop cooler stand. I thought I was taking a chance on getting this, but I'm pleased so far. I've yet to notice any game fps loss, but whenever I touched the bottom of the laptop, it was insanely hot. I bought this fan hoping it would help on top of the cooling stand. I can feel the hot air blowing out well; it has many fan settings, and at the highest, you will slightly hear it run. My laptop also has two vent ports, 1 on each side, one for the CPU and the other for the GPU. I could pick up another for the CPU side, but I probably will not unless my laptop starts having heat issues. Also, don't expect miricles with this fan, just an ounce of prevention is my philosphy.

Great idea ... needs slight improvements
The idea for this product is great. The noise level is low, and the airflow improves cooling of my laptop. My biggest complaints are: 1 - The instructions are only in Chinese(?). I don't know. I can't read them. Nor are there adequate pictures to use those as instructions. It's a bit of guesswork to get everything connected properly. 2 - The springs are too weak to actually hold the product in place. It does come with a piece with a sticky patch you can "permanently" attach to the laptop, but who wants to do that? Stronger springs or some type of vice-grip would be a better, temporary attachment (as the unit is meant to be).

works really well
i put two of these on both side vents of my gaming laptop and now my laptop runs at 81 degrees at the most when playing super graphics heavy games that use to run at 110 degrees F. make sure your laptop has plenty of clearance and airflow and you can run basically anything

Didn't notice a difference.
I didn't notice much of a difference in temperatures of my ASUS vivobook laptop. The spring clamps are pretty pathetic. It's not too loud though but I would not recommend.

I don't know
Temperature shown isn't accurate. It's lower by 5°C. Air volume is much lower compared to another identical product by another brand purchased back in 2014.

Portable laptop cooler
Brilliant product. At full speed it brings down the CPU & GPU temperatures significantly (by 5°-10° C) under heavy gaming. It's a must have for gamers who have laptops with heating issues. It attaches to the side of your laptop making it very portable.
