This is made China. It seems that almost every thing Amazon sells is made in China. The vase is pretty I can say.

It depends where they are shipping it to from their location. Mine took about 2 weeks.

Experienced vase ppl—how does quality compare to cheap glass vases (like you get free w/floral arrangements)—bubbles, overly thick glass, even rim?

This glass is not thick at all, neither is the rim, almost delicate even but not fragile. Holds most flowers in a very attractive way as the vase is almost clear so the focal point is on the flowers and not the vase. Since the base is wider than the top, it is well balanced and the flowers spray out attractively, not like the wide rim vases where the flowers go all over the place haphazardly. Hope this helps!

Would you be able to put a candle in this?

I haven't done that, I wouldn't recommend because you don't know if vase can crack. I only put flowers
