Superior Hojari Frankincense - Boswellia Sacra

Amazing scent. I've even eaten a bit raw. Which can make you a bit gassy. Seen videos advising to boil a tear first, to kill of bacteria. I'm not a big fan of the incense burner I got, its too small and eats up from the coal, and the coal lasts too long. So for my small bedroom I just crush up a little in a metal dish, and place that over an alcohol lamp, until it gets sufficiently charred enough to release all the pleasant aroma. A little goes a long way. There may be cheaper sources out there for the frugal at heart.

I've tried so many different sources for frankincense resin but this is one of a few that I truly love. It isn't as citrus smelling as many - some of the "citrus" frankincense resins give me a headache after a few minutes. This is very rich, complex and earthy. If it were a wine I'd say that it was an amazingly robust and mature red-blend with a silky smooth finish - but it's not a wine, so maybe I'll say that it redefines what fine frankincense should smell like... and you will probably be disappointed in others after trying this Hojari resin.

The product looks the same as described. The taste for most of the resins are similar to the one I have, but some of the resins taste like Arabic Gum.

Very satisfied with my purchase. Batches vary so you may get differences in the product modestly. This batch was very acceptable.

This is a very good quality of frankincense and it smells like a bouquet of fragrant flowers. I'll purchase again.
