I got the Tung Tongue Cleaning Kit Tung Brush and Gel Bad Breath Odor Eliminator specifically to tackle bad breath and tongue buildup especially after enjoying wine which often leaves my tongue stained purple or discolored and feeling coated. This kit works really well and stands out as one of the best tongue cleaning solutions I have tried. The Tung Brush has a unique soft yet firm design with those special ridges that gently but thoroughly scrape away the bacteria film coating and debris from the tongue surface. Paired with the Tung Gel it creates a fresh minty clean that actually eliminates bad breath odor at the source instead of just masking it. The gel has a pleasant taste not overpowering or medicinal just refreshing and it helps the brush glide smoothly without any gagging or discomfort. What impresses me most is how effectively it handles wine related staining. After a glass or two of red wine my tongue would look tinted and feel fuzzy but a quick session with this kit removes the color buildup almost completely leaving my tongue pink and clean again. It cleans really well in just 10 to 20 seconds and the results last noticeable fresh breath for hours. No more fuzzy mouth feel or lingering aftertaste from drinks or food.

I have a hypergag reflex, so if something is on my tongue and its not to be ingested or chewed like gum (like an errant toothbrush, tongue depressor, etc.) I sound awful as if I'm about to heave. So a tongue brush was not my first resort, but I gave it a try. The gel was delightful almost making me want to slurp it down. The brush was expert for the job if you don't have a hypergag reflex. It really scrubs your tongue because the bristles are stiff (toothbrush bristles don't do the job). After you finish scrubbing your tongue your mouth feels and tastes better. One caveat: you can't (shouldn't) rinse your mouth for a half hour later, so I abstain from food and drink for a half hour then I rinse my mouth and eat/drink what I want. Do this as many times as you want per day (five is probably too much, three is inconvenient if you have a busy schedule), but between the bristles scrubbing and the gel putting a positive spin on the experience, it's worth a try. I needed to do it more often than the twice a day I used it, but my near-gagging experiences tempered my desire to continue. I will continue but I probably will be inconsistent until I get over the gagging or don't need the product anymore. It's a fine product and it didn't over-promise results.

When I first used this product, my tongue bled a little, however that didn't deter me, my tongue is amazingly pink, and my breath stays fresh all day. No morning breath either. Would I buy again? Absolutely!!!!!!!!!!!! I would definitely recommend this product. 10/10

This works really great but please follow the directions and do not rub the tongue for longer than 10 seconds and don’t do it to aggressively. I ended up making my tongue bleed and it wasn’t fun. You only need a pea size amount and it’s super month. Definitely worth the money. The brush is sturdy and long for reaching the back of the tongue. My tongue has never felt cleaner. I brush my teeth with Colgate total, the one that protect against all sort of gum disease. Rinsed with warm water then brushed the tongue and rinsed again. If you normally use mouth wash, trust me, you will not need it. The gels is blue with mint strips it looks like. My mouth feels great and I’ve received so many compliments about my minty fresh breath! Highly recommend!!! Will be purchasing again.

Smells good. I think it makes my breath better. I just don’t like how much of the paste the brush absorbs. Feels like a waste. Make sure you brush gently.

You will NOT be disappointed, and you'll never want to go without using this brush and gel again. More Details: The TUNG brush and gel kit I purchased here on Amazon is so good, that it actually gave me almost as much anxiety as it did satisfaction. Why anxiety? Because my mind instantly feared having to deal with this product disappearing one day. Some of our favorite things in life are discontinued (products, foods, tv shows, etc) and never come back despite how great they were in someone's eyes. I really want as many people as possible to discover the TUNG brush like I just did because I REALLY don't want to lose it...and I have zero doubt the more people that use this brush, the more likely it will be here for the long haul. I was skeptical as I am with anything I buy that claims it'll do something...it looks like a round tooth brush with short bristles...could be a gimmick. Glad it was affordable enough (cheap even) for me to give it a try, because my skepticism disappeared after my first use. I can't vouch for the TUNG brush or TUNG gel each on their own because I've only used them together...but my gut tells me the brush would be effective no matter what. The gel is a light refreshing mint flavor that's not overbearing. It's quite gentle. I will continue using it because it is supposedly less likely to gunk up the brush than other toothpaste...ok, I'll take them at their word on that one because there's no real financial or mental incentive for me not to. The brush feels nice in my hand and even more so on my tongue. The bristles are firm but really comforting at the same time. That was actually a side effect I wasn't expecting that I experienced when first using the brush. Here I am expecting it to get my tongue clean after all of my scraping and gargling and brushing attempts in the past (and oh yeah it accomplished this) but it also felt really...good. Is that weird? Maybe a little weird. It's like my sad sad tongue got the hug it's been needing for so long. I have pretty nice teeth. I take care of them. I brush twice a day. I get complimented on my smile. But my tongue...man, I just could not get it clean no matter how much I brushed it, gargled with different mouth washes, scraped it...nothing was doing the trick. I switched from a plastic tongue scraper to a nice stainless steel U-shaped one and that DID help a lot. But while my tongue was not as dirty looking to me, it was still whiter toward the back than it was pinkish-red. It was still not what I would consider "clean." I now use my SS scraper prior to the TUNG brush & TUNG gel, and I am proud to say my tongue is a nice lovely shade of pink to go with my white teeth. If I had to choose just one tool for the tongue cleaning job, it would hands down be the TUNG brush over any other brush, gel/paste, rinse, or scraper. Side note: This routine isn't for everyone because it takes me about 5-10 minutes (depending on how awake I am) rather than the 2 minute window people seem to be obsessed with keeping oral hygiene boxed into, but here's what I do if anyone wants to try something that'll be effective for their teeth and tongue and breath. Scrape tongue with SS scraper (Amazon) Brush tongue with TUNG brush & TUNG gel (Amazon) Floss teeth (I use a Waterpik because I hate flossing) (Amazon) Rinse mouth with whitening mouth wash (I use Crest 3D White) Brush teeth without any tooth paste for about a minute (this is my trade secret) Brush teeth with tooth paste for another minute (I use Crest 3D White) Rinse mouth with a small cap of TheraBreath Fresh Breath Oral Rinse for a minute (Amazon) Rinse back of throat (gargle) with another small cap of the TheraBreath for about 30 seconds Seems like a lot, and it's more than most I'm sure...but in under 10 minutes my mouth looks and feels better than it ever has in the past. Worth it.
