Well built body. That's where the good ends. I was hoping this will be as smooth as Beret. It is so not. Infact the MI trimmer is much smoother and better. The blade on this one can hurt . It doesn't work that well either . I dread every time I have to use it. Thinking of just discarding it and going for MI trimmer .

Full steel body is only good until the plastic switch to turn trimmer on/off comes loose. If the trimmer was made so sturdy, wonder why WAHL could not do a better job with that plastic component.

I’m not a review guy. Not sure if I’ve ever reviewed anything.Just got my replacement Wahl in the mail today, after my previous one I bought in college lasted a DECADE. With hundreds, maybe over 1k trims under its veteran, life hard lived belt.People have wives for less time than that. Houses. Cars. Dogs. The Wahl trimmer will outlast them all. If I could’ve replaced the one plastic piece on my old one that likely broke after being thrown around an airplane a billionth time, it would’ve likely outlived me.It will not iron your clothes, balance your checkbook, or sing you a song while you shave. But it’ll shave your scruffy neck loyally until your face hairs fall out. Buy it.

I have been needing a new beard groomer for a long time and just could make up my mind. After seeing this on YouTube and the discounted price at the time on Amazon I bought it and have never looked back. Excellent groomer!!!!

Good product. Charges fasts db lasts long. It is quite also. The attachments sizes do not seem to really match up with sizes from other ones I have had. A #4 is a little shorter than other brands but no big deal. I do recommend this clipper.

So, for the 2.5 years that I've had it, it was fantastic. Honestly, the best trimmer I've used. HOWEVER. I found out this week that the battery is not as sophisticated as I would've hoped for the price point.I know as a whole, you aren't supposed to keep lithium ion batteries plugged in or charged to 100% (like don't plug it back in after using it for two minutes). What I didn't know, is that not all batteries are created equally.So I used this as I have for 2.5 years, trimming my long lumberjack beard as needed, tidying up the parts that grow quicker, knocking my mustache back up to (/i)above(\i) my mouth, etc. This equals to about once every two to three weeks. Then when it would be drained, I'd charge it. I treat most rechargeables this way, and haven't had this problem. I have a 4 year old Waterpik, a 6 year old Oral-B, and a 10 year old Clarisonic face scrubber (that does need charged after 2 uses now, but still). This trimmer won't take a charge whatsoever, and won't turn on.The quality of the trimmer is top-notch, I will say. No pulling, no cutting my lip, no discomfort in any way. The hairs were nicely cut, not luxury barber experience, but for $80, not bad at all. The blade is fragile though, having dropped my manual toothbrush on it once and chipping a tooth out, which I promptly replaced. So if you're going to use it more, say weekly, and for longer than 2-3 minutes at a time, I say go for it. If you want to use it sparingly like me, think about it. I'm not one who likes discarding batteries too often, so I'm a little bitter.If a better battery was used, I'd purchase again, but I think I'm going to steer clear for my replacement unfortunately.

I purchased this product having several 5 star Wahl products in hopes to get another great quality product. The cut quality was nothing special. About average for a home use beard trimmer which this is. The Trimmer itself feels excellent, nice heft, finish and visibility when trimming. However the guards on the hand were the complete opposite. Out of the 12 guards offered only 4 were true to their size and the rest were not even close to what they indicated. For example the 1/2" cut more like a 3/16.I then contacted Wahl support and they were happy to help and sent me a new comb set that was the correct sizes. Wahl customer support was great, fast and accurate and help - took 3 days from placing my complaint to having the new guards at my door.Typically I would still offer a product like this that had good customer support 5 stars, however because this issue was mentioned by other users and clearly not resolved, I give it 4 stars.
