MAMMOTH MB-18 MARBLE, TRAVERTINE, LIMESTONE POLISHING POWDER (5X) - FOR PROFESSIONAL USE ONLY A balanced blend of selected powders to polish all Calcite-based stone! It was formulated to be used for "wet-polishing". MB-18 is an excellent performer to polish to a deep gloss all calcite-based stones, like Marble, Travertine, Onyx, Limestone, etc. Tools: 175 RPM Buffer (85 lbs. at least), mop, bucket, ammonia, 17 " hogs hair pads (5 extra), 17" white pads, timer, vacuum, diamond abrasives, lippage tools, 2 oz. measuring cup Using 4 diamonds on a 17 inch pad driver, start honing the floor using 2 oz. grit diamond abrasive. Hone 10 sq. ft. for 4 minutes per grit. Complete one 10 sq. ft. section, vacuum and move to the next section. Complete the floor with this grit and repeat process with next grit. When floor is at honed level target, set up tools for polishing and make sure to add l 1/2 oz. of ammonia to the water mix. Place hogs-hair pad on driver, fill water tank, place vacuum and bucket where you started the honing process. Start polishing using 2 oz. of MB-18 for every 10 sq.ft. timed at 4 minutes. Place the 2 oz. of powder in a circular form and place your machine directly on top of it. Pull the water plunger for 5 seconds only. Set Timer. Start polishing. After 4 minutes, lift machine and vacuum up the slurry. Then check to confirm you have a good polish and move to the next area. The crux of the system is to make sure the finished areas are protected from splatters by coating with the neutralizing solution. Repeat the steps until the floor is completely polished. Then wet buff the entire floor with white pad.
