What is the difference between this model and the slimline table lamp for $144.90? it isn't clear.

Hi This one can dim the light and this is the model that is taking the place of the u35107. Please call the store at 800-442-8227 and ask for our lighting specialist for further details and for our great deals on either model. Thank you Scott

What is the power source for this lamp? does need an adapter for ac power? or does have a regular ac plug? product description says it needs a 12v bat

The lamp attaches to table or any hard surface. It has an ac adapter that plugs into the shaft of the lamp. Wonderful for doing my crocheting and with the use of it am able to use black and navy-blue yarn. Great product. Never had any problems.
