I usually manage to screw these kinds of installations up, but after watching the installation process on YouTube a couple of times, this was an easy and very straight-forward process - literally done in a few minutes with no tools. If for some reason it fails, I'll revise my review, but at the moment I'm both happy and relieved to have a working vented dryer again.

I got two pieces. The corner piece and a regular one plus the actual vent ducting. Easy instructions. Only two minor issues were 1: the rubber rings used to secure the pieces in place were (at least for me), super tight so I used a butter knife and 10 seconds in the microwave to get them flexed onto the outlets. Also, I wanted to cut down the aluminum vent tube and I could not find my wire clippers and after trying with scissors, I got a hack saw and a cutting board and got it cut down. Even with all that, install was around 20 minutes. So highly recommend.

The idea looks great but there are flaws. The duct hose is first class ,thin and strong it does the job. But fits very tightly to the plastic connectors. Use caution to not tear the flex hose that could spell disaster. Mine proved strong and held well with only about 1 inch of connection with the plastic connectors. The connectors fit the flex hose tightly but the round end has a taper that does not connect tightly to the short round dryer exhaust port. Thus duct taping the outer lip of the plastic fitting onto the exhaust port was necessary to achieve a seal that will stay connected. I did not want to do this but after the plastic connector came off that became necessary. The wide velcro/plastic straps are not soft enough to achieve a good fit to anything. but not necessary. Overall grade is still a A-, Best solution to a restrictive area .

I had a new exhaust event put in on the side of my home, rather than having it running through the roof of my two-story home. The washer and dryer each are 30 inches wide so it left very little room to get behind to clean out the dryer vent hose and when I did it sometimes fell out when going through a few dry cycles. Needless to say with very little room to operate I needed something much more durable that would allow the vent to stay in place. Another product I purchased on Amazon worked, but it didn’t allow a 90 degree turn at the back of the dryer. This product solved all my problems and frustration! It was super easy to put in the foil vent into the housing and the design is genius and simple to keep it from falling out. The Amazon video goes through 4 simple steps: (1) put your existing or new vent hose into the plastic connector, (2) slide the connector into the plastic housing (mine was harder than it looked and I didn’t want to put a hole in the hose so I was careful), (3) slide the rubber seal onto the back of the dryer (make sure the rubber flanged end/stop is facing in the correct direction - check the illustration) and (4) slide the housing on the back of the dryer. Mine was a tight fit, but I know it’s not going anywhere. Now just slide the dryer back to the wall and ensure the housing slightly rests against the wall. The design is perfect and I’m confident the hose is no longer going to fall out. This new setup essentially allows my hose not to kink so I’m also confident the dry cycles will be more efficient and I’ll have less lint buildup in the hose over the same period of time. Overall it took my adult son and me longer to move the dryer out and back so I would say this is an easy DIY project. This particular model didn’t come with a new hose, but they’re relatively cheap. So if you have a plastic hose now would be the time to get an aluminum foil one!

Ingenious product! I fix a lot of things, and this product is a winner. I’ve repaired the dryer vent connection more times than I can count, and finally I feel like this time it’s going to be a good fix. I can’t yet speak to the durability of this, but the construction seems quite good. It might slip off with vibration, but it’s so easy to push on. Tip : before putting the snap on ring onto your vent hose, first stretch & flatten the hose in the last 1-2”, where the ring will install. That allows things to fit together properly. I didn’t do that the first time, and the pieces wouldn’t quite snap together.

DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY! ABSOLUTE GARBAGE. This might work for older types of dryers, I don't know, but I just got a new LG washer and dryer and this device is cometely useless. The "cinch" straps are way too rigid and it's not going to hold a damn thing in place. I repeatedly tried fitting on the dryer vent and the wall and it pops off as soon as you let go. I used Gorilla tape instead of the useless straps that comes with it. It held a lot better but the elbow doesn't fit securely and eventually popped off again. After patiently trying several times I finally gave up and put this elbow where it belongs, IN THE TRASH. I recently bought a new house and ordered this piece shortly after getting my washer/Dryer. I didn't move in until about a month after closing escrow and didn't get around to trying this install until it was too late to return. That's my fault but very frustrated that the video and description makes it look so easy and that it works. It simply doesn't for newer machines. And what's with the oval end? Which genius thought that was a good idea? Neither the hose or venting ducts are oval, they're all round. Now I gotta figure out how to get this vent hose connected with the 90 degrees I need.

I love how it hooks to the vent pipe and how you do just push it against the wall. What I can't stand is the rubber seal. It does not do its job. The hookup is supposed to attach to the dryer by a rubber seal, that I assume is suppose to hold in place. It pops right off. I have to use a broom handle to prop up the vent on the back of the dryer while pushing the dryer back in place. If your dryer has access from the side where you can hold the vent in place while someone pushes the dryer back, yay.. But I do not have side access. My dryer fits between the walls, so using the broom handle to hold the vent in place is such a pain. I dread moving my dryer because of this headache. Other than that, it's a well made item and does its job.

I really like this because it's so easy to install and works so well in a tight space. No squeezing between the washer and dryer, no standing on my head necessary, no tools needed, no dropped screws.

Needed to replace our dryer renting and this adapter made it a breeze. Took less than than 10 minutes to convert from start to finish.
