I found the more accurate scale is measured at 1:15. it's too small for 1:12 but way too big to be 1:24 **Q: Can i use this with calico critters?** A: No, this is not a toy. It is for decorative purposes only. **Q: What kind of glue is the clear glue provided? My glue has dried out and I’d like to start again.** A: Go to either Hobby Lobby or Walmart and buy clear gel tacky glue. It works really good and is fast. And yes, there is a clear and a non clear of glue available. But the tacky glue is the best. **Q: What type of glue to use for these kits** A: I have done several kits and the glue I always use is Aileen’s glue. It’s in a brown bottle. And I use the one that looks like the bottle is upside down. I have already put together quite a few of their other kits, so I didn't mind having to do a little more work. It isn't as high of quality as the other kits, you have to paint everything yourself and there isn't any lighting (good or bad depending on how you look at it!) so it is not as expensive as other kits. If this was my first one, or I didn't know why it had a lower price before I bought it, I probably would have been a little disappointed. But I didn't mind having to paint more in order to spend less money. All of the wood pieces are pop out wood pieces that you have to sand down a little and then put several coats of paint on. They should make it a little clearer that this series is a little different than the rest.
