Iām pretty sure the heat of the storage facility messed up the texture of the handle. It was very sticky. Wiped it down with alcohol and soapy water. Used some baby powder as well. Works fine so far. The control is amazing. Rolling it is very comfortable. Perfect size barrel for my short hair and I appreciate the real dial and switches and not a digital display.

Hot Tools have a temperature control setting, are durable and long lasting! There is a lock button if you prefer the handle to be stationary! This size is perfect for short hair or for creating curls on longer hair. Overall, a good value with great performance!
