Beast Woofer - You can't go wrong
By far the best car subwoofer I have ever heard. This thing produces clean and deep bass that hits you without no annoying distortion. I will own this babe for a nice 10+ years. When your looking to buy a subwoofer, you have to ask yourself how good is the bass. When you look at other lowered price woofers they all have 5 star reviews, so whats the difference between the $100 ones and these ones? If the bass is truly the same then you would buy the lower one. So my point is: even though everybody says the others ones are "NICE" and "CLEAN" and "DEEP BASS" you have to think is it really true?I read reviews from the Rockford Fosgate 12" Rockford Fosgate P3D4-12 Punch P3 DVC 4-Ohm 12-Inch 600-Watt RMS 1200-Watt Peak Subwoofersubwoofer (by the way there was a very little magnet on it) and decided to buy it when everybody said it was awesome and deep bass. WRONG. When it arrived and I hooked it up, and it did have a hit but it wasn't clean or nice. So what was everybody raving at it for? I even had my super clean Pioneer amp for it and it was still hitting hard and rough. That wasn't clean. So what I am starting to see is that everybody's opinion is skewed or perceived differently. One guy thinks its clean and nice but to the other it may be rough and annoying because of different perceptions.I did not enjoy the other Fosgate, I even tried Kicker and they were still on the rough end. JBL actually has a nice product here. I have not tried the lower end woofers for the car but based off what this one produces, the other JBL lower models may produce good bass.Don't be fooled by other reviews. This was my setup running at about 500-600 watts RMS. This subwoofer is rated at 700 watts RMS.AMPLIFIER 2x Pioneer PRS-D800 Class FD 2-Channel Bridgeable AmplifierCABLES 2x Monster M1000 SW-20 M-Series Ultra 1000 Subwoofer Cable (20 feet)ENCLOSURE 1x Sycho Sound New Single Car Black Subwoofer Box Sealed Automotive Enclosure for 12-Inch Woofer 12S

This subwoofer is astonishingly accurate , but when pushed with to much power , the voice coil slams against the extension gap , the extension gap should be twice as large in order to compensate for ultra stroke !!

I'm in love
WOW!!!! I have my JBL W12GTi MKii in a vented 2.0 cu ft enclosure tuned to 30Hz. The enclosure is made by a company called Life After Bass and they are located out in California. I am blown away by how loud and clean this thing hits. Since the port is tuned very low it goes very Deep into the lower frequency range. I am powering it right now with a JBL GTO 751EZ amp but I plan on upgrading to the JBL GTO 1001EZ. The sub is under powered right now and sounds amazing after only playing it for a week. So I have not broken it in yet.

It's worth every penny!
This thing is awesome!! I have it hooked up to a hifonics brx2000.1d amp and I have a 2.25 cubic ft enclosure (needs a 2.75) but dang!! This sub is wired to 3 ohms and is pushing about 1000watts rms. this thing is definitely underrated! This thing also ways a ton and is quality built with gold plated terminals and every thing. It's good for SPL and SQL. It's worth every penny!

Like yo bro that bass is naasty
I get compliments on the system in my car every week, but they are mostly to do with the bass. Like yo bro that bass is naasty, was one I got just last night.

Look no further!
Best subwoofer you could buy for the price...I had this sub in my 97eclipse convertible..VERY small trunk...made a box about 1.9-2.0sq ft slotted box that JUST fit in...pretty small box considering the sub is massive...I've owned the kenwood 1303ps 12" sub. Mega booming bass but no kick or thump..12" kicker comp..decent kick but bottoms out on lows..jl 12 300rms..clean all around but blew easily..the nakamichi 12" performance sq model..good thump and looks viscious..from there my brother got a mmatts 12" sub for 500$ I believe at a shop..it was the loudest sub I've heard but it was in a HUGE box..very responsive but some sounds just don't agree with some people's ears...it hurt my ears more than it helped the sound I would say..all those were hooked to an eclipse amp 4x25amp fuses..when I got the jbl mkii 12 I upgraded to the Memphis prx.1000 mono amp...3x40 amp fuses...these are a match made in heaven...the jbl hit the lowest lows sounding like a 15" sub thump..it kicks so hard it feels like someone is punching the back of the seat..cleanest bass out of every sub I listened to except maybe the nakamichi but the nakamichi didn't get nearly as loud or punchy..in the entire time I had owned the sub It never distorted even once. Never bottomed out..never disappointed...if you want you and others to sit in your car and just think WOWWWW that just blew my mind...this sub is for you...I've seen them being sold for 300$ each in other places but I'd still say 500$ is worth it..you'll never need another sub again..trust me..I went through many subs all in 1-2 years..I enjoyed the jbl mkii so thoroughly on my new 2012 Chevy Cruze I bought the jbl mkii c608gti component sets...they aren't as glorious as the sub but they are also the best set I've ever owned...I've had alpine,Polk, pioneer, jbl and Lanzar..lanzar was...near stock haha...pioneer was too sharp and kind of died quickly..the Polk was cleaner than the jbls and the alpine was about as clean as the Polk but not as much bass...these c608gti components are cleaner than them all..can be found around 300$ a set these days
