It will Work modulated TTL
I tested this puppy out, and I like it. For you folks that are wondering about controlling this PWM, you donโt need a schematic. Look at the board Silk screen next to the Red and Green connectors on the fan power side. This unit is designed to handle two lasers, a Red one plugs into the Red connector that is next to the Green one the Laser power cable is plugged into. The two empty Red and Green connects ( next to fan connect) are the TTL inputs. Looking down on top of those two empty sockets, with the notch side away from you, the right pin on both of these is Ground. The other pin, on both has a pull-up resistor to turn both lasers full on, when NO TTL signal is there. When your TTL signal is present, the left pin of that connector will be pulled low or high to the 5V TTL signal, and if itโs low, laser turns off, if itโs high the laser will be on. The TTL will in effect be turning laser off and on, according to your TTL control. If you just want to be able to turn Laser ON/OFF, you can just jumper the two pins and laser will be off. By the way the trimmer sets current level to both R-LD and G-LD outputs. Those extra unpopulated connector traces, Iโm not positive of their use yet, but Iโll figure it out, and follow up. Itโs very easy to control the brightness using TTL. Works for me. Iโm not sure of the max current of this, but I tried the controller on a 1.6 Watt Blue Laser, and it worked perfect with TTL. By the way I hooked it in the same Green connector, the Green laser was using. I didnโt want to push it too hard, so I stayed with 12V supply, to see if it could handle the bigger Brother and it did. Try it out. Just jumper the two pins on that G-TTL connector and youโll see, the Green laser go dark. Happy hacking.

Had for a few months, rarely used, already dead.
purchased this in Mid August, hardly used it at all, and it's stopped working already. I didn't even start using it for at least a month after i got it, so it did last long at all. I would say if I used this regularly, it would have died in a week. Buyer beware.

Caution: No IR filter
Seems like a nice laser. There does appear to be a lot of IR light coming out at around 806nm. I would definitely recommend using laser goggles that provide some for of Green AND IR laserprotection. Might add more info on this later.

My $22.99 laser that uses a battery is much brighter
My order from Amazon was for two lasers. One is a $22.99 hand held that uses a rechargeable battery and the other was this 12VDC laser with a fan mounted on it. The hand held laser is much brighter, not even close. The driver board does not look anything like the one in the image for this product. The only thing that gets warm is the fan, once I unplugged the fan and ran the laser for about 5 minutes, nothing was warm. I can't recommend this unless you want something that looks cool before you turn it on.

It worked without an additional PWM driver.
When I received mine it had a totally different control board than the unit advertised and what most of the reviews had. That made me think it would need a PWM controller, but it fired up as soon as power was applied. Then I brought it home to do some demonstration with my kids, but as soon as I plugged it in something smoked and now U1 on the board looks fried. Anybody know the specs for U1?

Really poor technical support
Multiple users would like to modulate the beam and have asked for a schematic of the driver board (see Questions). This is a simple request but none has been provided. I bought mine in Jan '22, see attached picture. My board has three 2 pin connectors. They are identical except for their color. There are no polarity markings for them. So, there is no way of knowing how to correctly connect to the driver board and modulate the beam without some instructions and a schematic. My rating is a 1 until there are schematics and instructions for modulating the beam.
