Will this tape completely and long-term repair and seal a leak (3/16" long) on a garden hose, when the hose is connected to high-pressure sprayer?

No. I was disappointed in this product. I purchased this tape to repair a garden hose leak and it did not seal off the leak. I had to replace the hose.
