What does the "or if in play" mean on the 1 and 2 cards. If you have to move a piece in play then you never get more then 1 piece out of start

You have the choice to bring a pawn out of your “start circle” or move a pawn you already have out on the board. But you can only bring pawns out of the “start circle” with a 1, 2 or Sorry card.

does this have the extra card rules like in sorry disney edition? For example, if you are the yellow color move your lead pawn to home, etc.

Unfortunately no, it doesn't. It's just plain old "Sorry", (with Disney Villain artwork) which bummed us out because we also liked the Disney Edition unique cardplay.

Is this good for a five year old?

Absolutely. It's easy to play and contains Disney villains, which is about as kid friendly as they come. That being said, I've known some 5-year olds who couldn't handle Disney villains, so to some extent, this question is on you to answer when it comes to content/scariness.

Classic game, but villain slant makes it feel new

It's just the Sorry we know and love (actually with a few minor differences that we mostly ignored). But the villains slant made it fun. Grandchildren love it.

Awesome game

This game is a cool twist on the original game we all know and love. It’s great for all ages, directions are clear, the price seemed fair for the quality. My only complaint is that ours was shipped in a box a bit too large for the game and arrived pretty smashed, the game box itself was a little damaged, but we managed.
