An oldie but a goodie
This is a great furniture polish/scratch cover, and I have used it successfully to rejuvenate antique and vintage pieces that are not in great shape, but not bad enough to require a full refinishing. It does a good job of rehydrating old wood and providing a durable and long-lasting sheen. And it's very effective as a furniture polish for pieces that don't really require the scratch cover but could do with some enhancing of the color. I will be primarily using this product as a furniture polish for newer pieces, as it offers a lot of protection, especially from liquids - water beads up on the surface and can be easily wiped up. This is an old-fashioned product - it was my grandfather's secret for making old furniture look new again - but it works just as well today as it did for my grandfather.

Great furniture polish, scratch cover!
I recently got some dark walnut furniture out of storage, and it needed some serious TLC. Not only was it suffering scratches from before, but it was definitely showing signs of having been stored too long. I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a professional restoration effort, so I decided to see what I could do for it on my own. That's where this product came into play. The wood had lost its luster and was even showing some slight signs of surface mold, so I dabbed a bit of this Old English on a cloth and attacked a panel to see what would happen. It was like magic. The wood came back to life, the dimmed parts I suspected were mold disappeared, and the whole panel looked rich and alive and happy. I was pretty shocked, to be honest, so I thought there must be another shoe to drop. I mean, how can this one product breathe new life into old moldy stored wood items with one application? Can't happen. So I waited a few hours and then went and checked the panel fully expecting it to be dried out and dull. But no, it was still beautiful. Hmph, I said to myself, it'll be back gasping for air in the morning. But nope, it was still gorgeous. So I waited a week. Still lovely. Okay, it was time to do the whole piece, plus every other piece that I had rescued from nearly ten years of storage. The results are stunning. Sure, I used a lot of this product, but I had a lot of pieces, and they are all gorgeous now, with new life and shine. As for the scratch coverage, one piece did have a pretty significant scratch (almost a gouge, really) that this product was not really up to disappearing, but it's now much less noticeable, and all the surface scratches and discoloring are completely corrected. I couldn't be more pleased. I will never not have this product in my home. It's a life-saver for wood furniture, no matter how old or neglected it was before being rescued and brought back to life.

Old English Scratch Cover for Dark Wood
75144 Scratch Cover for Dark Woods, 8 oz Bottle, Wood Polish. Cost is $6. This is one of most impressive product I bought on Amazon. It turns really faded and surface wear wood back to its beautiful luster. The way it brings out the hidden patterns and whorls is amazing. I drop some the product into an old toothbrush to get into the smallest crevice. I make sure it has been completely covered and I let it soak in for two or three days and wipe off most of the liquid. It completely covers the scratch. It’s so easy to apply. It’s lasts forever. Once in a while I add some more to bring out that beautiful shine. It appears to be water resistant. Check out my photos. Those are two small night stands.

Not great for scratches but it works miracles on faded furniture!
This product doesn't do a great job at coving scratches and dings, especially small chips/gouges in new wood. The dye just isn't strong enough and it doesn't have any volume to fill gouges like a crayon would for example. That said: This has been a miracle at restoring my faded and damaged wood! I picked up a set of Ethan Allen chairs at a thrift store and they were in bad shape-- bleached, scratched, faded, gouged, scraped, even peeling in places. Instead of just applying the Old English Scratch Cover spot by spot, I just got a paper towel and wiped it over almost the whole chair. Beautiful results! So much easier than re-staining and the chairs have been brought back to life! And unlike staining, I didn't have to strip or worry about matching the color because the color blends in so well. Plus a lot less mess. It also improved the surface of the wood. It definitely conditions the wood, instead of just dying or covering. It takes more than one coat, so you will have to use this a few times, especially for scratches. Incidentally, I also used this to dye leather shoelaces a darker color, and that worked well too, although it made them a little waxy/slippery and the color bled until I let them dry a few days and wiped them down thoroughly. For more severe damage, I've found better results if I let it soak in for a bit before I wipe it all off. It goes without saying but don't sit or touch clothing to the wood surface until this has dried. For scratches or water rings, I'd apply it fairly thick and let it sit, like about the thickness of the minimum oil you'd need to cook an egg with. Then wait a few hours and wipe it away. Then I use regular old english wood protector over it, making sure my paper towel isn't coming up brown before I sit on it. I LOVE this product so I'm giving it 5 stars, BUT beware that if you're buying this to fix a specific little scratch or ding, it doesn't work all that well for that purpose, despite what it is advertised as.

Works well to hide light scratches on dark wood
This product works very well on dark wood surfaces. It helps minimize the appearance of light scratches and scuffs, making the wood look refreshed and more even in color. Application is easy—just apply with a soft cloth and wipe off the excess. It doesn’t completely remove deep scratches, but it definitely improves the overall look. Great for quick touch-ups and maintenance.

This scuff cover works too cover up scratches and imperfections very well
I bought a beautiful cabinet from a membership club. It had a Luan Wood top and I could tell that the stain on it was going to show age before just a few months, and it did. They pretty finished did rub off, so I rubbed it with this black old English scuff cover. With just one coat, you could barely see me damage so I’m going to rub another coat on it and rub it off and that should fix it perfectly.

Non funziona
Semplicemente non funziona anzi rende i graffi più scuri e nel mio caso più visibili e non so come rimuoverlo.
