K&H Heated Cat Bed, Thermo-Pet Cave Indoor, Safety Listed, 4W, Gray

My cat loves this. It doesn’t get too hot and she practically lives in it. Definitely worth the money. I even bought a second one. It’s very well made. Doesn’t smell. The size is perfect for a cat around 12lbs.

These are awesome! We got one first for elderly Keno, but her son Chai, also a senior, kept hogging it. So we got a second. Now Keno spends most of her time sprawled on a K&H heated pad right in front of the fireplace between the two while Chai or mature Tahnee or young adult Goya loaf in the Thermo-Pet Caves. Neither Cave stays empty very long. It's evident that cats really enjoy these. Typically when a cat enters such a nest, it will first circle around to ensure it is facing out the doorway, so as to keep an eye on the surroundings. Not so with these K&H Thermo-Pet caves. Cat goes in, immediately flops down face-first and goes to sleep, cozy and warm. That makes these also a boon for anyone troubled by a frequently rambunctious cat. There are really no drawbacks, not from the cats perspective nor for us two-legged Big'uns. There's no actual assembly, just zipping up the back of the shell. Of course, you'll need a power outlet. The K&H Thermo-Pet Cave is made of soft quilted material, not suitable for outdoor use. I cannot recommend these highly enough! If you have a cat, you should get one. If you have more than one cat, you should get more than one -- like we have.

My 18 year old cat has never shown much interest in cat beds over the years. He prefers to sleep on a blanket on the couch. Lately though, as it has started to get colder outside, I have noticed him trying to burrow deep down into the blanket. I decided to try this heated bed so he could have some privacy from the dogs when he wants it, and it would hopefully help keep him warm. The cat bed has been a huge success. He still likes to snuggle up with the dogs at times, but at night, and when the dogs aren't around, I find him sleeping curled up in his heated cat bed. He tends to sleep a lot because of his age, and I would say he spends at least half of his time, if not more, curled up sleeping in this heated bed. It is nice and soft on the inside, and the bottom of the bed gets warm, without getting hot. I feel comfortable letting him sleep inside it for hours, because it does not get so warm that I would worry about it harming him. The design on the outside is pretty, so it looks nice sitting on the couch in our family room. For reference, my cat is 10 lbs, so you can see from the picture there is plenty of room if you have a bigger cat. I tucked the hanging ball up on top to get a better picture of the inside, but I will probably cut it off because he doesn't play with it.

I bought two of these. My cat loves it and spends a lot of time in there. To start him out, as he does tend to be fussy, I put some catnip and treats in the back of it. He really sniffed it all out and it became a favorite place of his. It’s great for winter, but I noticed him getting in there this summer as well, though not as often. I keep the other one at another house I visit frequently with him and he loves it.

Edited to add: I previously wrote this review (below) that I stand by but I would like to comment that the last three beds that I purchased all at the same time were PERFUME CONTAMINATED. I had to send them back. I did contact the company but, as far as I could tell, only received an automated reply. If it was a person who responded then they don't care that their product has an issue. I will try to contact the company again. This bed is perfect for my cats and I have a number of them. I wanted additional beds and, as I said, when I opened the box it smelled very strongly of perfume. It was clear that someone handled the beds with perfume saturated hands and it transferred to the ruff on the bed. I did try to outgass is but to no avail. For those of us who are sensitive or allergic to fragrance, this is a big deal. I hope, in the future, this company does a better job of keeping their beds fragrance free. I love this cat cave/bed. I now have 3 of these for our 2 cats. I bought one that is unheated and 2 that are heated. Basically, you can make it into an unheated bed by simply not inserting the small heating pad that comes with the heated style or not plugging it in. It's very cute and my very shy cat loves snuggling into it. He likes to sleep in our basement most of the time and I put two of them downstairs for him and another more open bed. He now sleeps in one of the 3 places. I didn't like the ball that hangs down; so, I just cut it off and let them play with it (not attached to the bed). I've bought many K&H Pet Products over the years and highly recommend them. I love this bed and so does my cat.

Works well - has been very popular with pets, summer without heat, and winter with heat. It will tip over so I have weighted the bottom compartment where the heat pad goes, then added some extra padding over the weighting material. Have not had to wash it much, but cover seems to wash OK and not too hard to put back on.

This is a really nice heated cat bed. The size is big enough that even my biggest cat who weighs 16lbs fits in it comfortably. I'm really impressed by how well it keeps its shape. Most cat cave type products do not keep their shape well at all so I was shocked that this one actually does. I love that it heats up anytime a cat lays on it and stays warm as long as the cat stays on it. This way I know my cat is still warm even in the middle of the night. Regular heating pads have to be turned back on every two hours so in the middle of the night when I'm sleeping my cats wouldn't have the warmth of the heating pad (my cats love sleeping on heating pads). All of my cats love this bed. I occasionally find two cats sleeping in it together. I'm planning on buying a couple more so they have more warm spots for their naps. I think the price is great for how effective this product is and because my cats really love it!

We bought one and had to buy a second one because of the squabbling it caused between our 2 cats! It was a constant competition to get in it first and the younger one wasn’t above bugging the older one until she got out! Instant hit and used until it got too hot even unplugged! The only thing that is an issue in our house, is they like their beds up off the floor or they won’t use them. We’ve got them on parsons tables, but I discovered that the back of the bed needed to be against the wall for stability, (one likes to bathe and leans every which way, and consequently leaned too far back one time and the bed tipped over the side into the floor! The table it sat on wasn’t against the wall, nor was the back of the bed! My mistake, it’s now in a corner with 2 walls for support!) If your kitty is a burrower or likes hidey holes, these are perfect!

cat bed is brilliant but it's not designed for UK it comes with a 2 pin American plug. It's 110v you need a transformer. It doesn't tell you that anywhere in the description.

Good quality for the price paid. Our cat used it right in the beginning for a few days, now it’s on and off. It seems like the perfect warmth. It washes perfectly as per the instructions, and the heating pad comes out easily. My only criticism is that the heating pad is too small for the base of the hut.

That anyone ordering from the UK can’t use it as it is made in China . Unable to use product as don’t have an adapter!

I am impressed. I finally retired 3 cat beds just before Christmas with 3 of these huts. This one is certainly worth the investment but time will tell if it holds up but I suspect it will hold up well. We have 3 cats each with their own way they want things. 2 of which have medical issues. Our one senior is 18 years old and still quite nimble for her age. 1 cat who was feral when we caught him at 4 weeks old but now accustomed to his heated bed and treats. If we miss treats well he lets us know. The third a 20 pound wrecking ball with the softest meow. They all love their beds and then some. All inside cats. Pros: 1.Excellent heat from a low wattage heating element. I'm impressed. 2.Material texture excellent. 3. Shape spot on (unless you have a 20 pound wrecking ball decide to lay on top of it even with another cat in it) Con: The cat ball attached to roof can get in the way but this product still deserves a solid 5 star.
