UT KiltsScottish Kilt Brown Leather Sporran

This sporran is definitely real leather. I'm not sure what the other review was talking about. It's a very heavy and thick leather. My only problem is that is does have some sort of artificial leather like finish on the outside. If you look inside, it is full leather. The thing I really like is the size. This thing is deep. I was able to fit my phone (s7), keys, pack of cigarettes, pocket knife, lighter, and moneyclip, with plenty of room to spare. Unlike my last sporran, I didn't have to play tetris to fit it all in. I also could dig and find what I needed without having to take half of it out. When it's closed, you don't even notice that it's bigger than my old one. I did cut the tassles off right away. That's just my preference, I hate the way they bounce on the sporran when I walk. I would highly recommend for anyone that needs to carry a lot of stuff.

Decent quality, good price. I really like the velcro closure, my other sporran has a snap that took a long time to loosen enough to where I could close it one handed. I will buy a better sporran at some point but this helped me transition into kilts without breaking the bank.

Came with velcro instead of a snap closer, but it actually worked up better for me. I drilled holes in it and sewed a cute tree bobble on it. Looks great! Pretty color. Velcro seems to be strong.

I really liked the Velcro on the flap but the stitching on the back came out after a few uses making it useless .

Nice, doesn't have a button like in the picture has velcro to close. I was disappointed with the velcro closure when I was expecting a snap button. Other than that it's nice.

How do all of these sellers on Amazon get away with wrongly describing their wares as "leather"? My suspicions were correct. A cheap plastic sporran although it seems decently made (glued together). Of course, time will tell. Lightweight chain might last for a while. Ok I guess for daily kilt wear to serve as a storage pouch. Holds an average wallet and iPhone 6 or smaller. It meets my needs for now. For formal occasions, spend the money and get something much nicer, but please don't buy sporrans using real animal fur---this is just cruel.
