Best Android Phone So Far
I've had this phone for about a week and I can honestly say that I'm not going back to my iPhone 4S anytime soon. I've experienced the Android platform since the Nexus One and I can say that's it gotten so much better. Some people think that Android is an iPhone/iOS knockoff, and to some respects it that may be true. However, the similarities stop with the Galaxy Nexus and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich). The phone is "the right size", I think. It's not to big or small. After doing a side by side comparison with the iPhone, the difference in screen size makes a difference. Colors are crisp and video seems to come alive on this screen. Video doesn't seem like an extravagant slideshow, like on some devices. The build quality is good. Some comments on the Internet seem to point out that the phone seems "cheap" or "plasticy". I disagree. The phone feels solid in the hand and is surprisingly light, especially when compared to the iPhone. I would still do my best to avoid dropping the phone, in which I got a case to protect it against a significant drop. The buttons and ports are similar to that of the Nexus S, in which the Power is on the right, volume rocker is on the Left, and the USB and headphone jack is on the bottom. Some people think the headphone jack should be at the top, similar to that of the Nexus One or iPhone, but I can see that Samsung placed the ports on the bottom for the accessories that may come, such as a Car or Desk Dock. I don't have either, but when I use a generic car holder, it's convenient to have the cords pointing down to stay out of the way. The real power of the phone is in it's software, Android 4.0 or "Ice Cream Sandwich". The phone feels responsive and smooth to the touch. I like how they changed the storage memory to become one single partition as opposed to two separate (On-board + USB storage). It makes for managing applications and memory more efficient, as "moving to SD card" was starting to become more trouble than it's worth. The interface is similar to that of Android 3.0 or Honeycomb, for those who are familiar. The real question I'm sure your all wondering is the "build" of the software. I can say that my Galaxy Nexus came with "yakju". Yes, I have the Google build of the software. However, I wasn't satisfied. With Google selling the Galaxy Nexus on the Google Play Store and having a different Android build "takju", I went and did some research. The good news is that the software is available from Google. Do a search for "stock Android ROMs". The bad news is that it required a little "know how" in computer programming to get the Google sanctioned takju on my Galaxy Nexus, but Voila!. I have the exact same Google branded phone that Google is selling with all the trimmings (such as Google Wallet), but in White! Very VERY good phone. Amazingly fast. Evermore faster on T-Mobile's HSPA network, getting up to 8MB download speeds on a good day. I don't know what else to say except that the Galaxy Nexus can quite possibly be the best phone for any phone fanatic out there. It sets the bar for other Android phones, as well as iPhone. Now let the competition begin!

Remains the best Android phone to date
This i s honestly the best Android phone I've ever owned and I've owned a lot of them. I've been an Android enthusiast ever since I first bought the G1, since then I've owned the mytouch 3g, Samsung vibrant, mytouch 4g, Samsung galaxy s2 and the newer htc one s. This phone blows those phones and many others out of the water. At first I had a hard time choosing between the galaxy nexus and the upcoming galaxy s3 because they are both truly amazing phones and they both have their advantages. I ended up choosing the galaxy nexus because 1) the design, 2) the price, 3) stock Android, 4) fast updates. Yes the s3 has better hardware, but for me the software advantages that the galaxy nexus has outweighs the hardware advantages that the s3 has because the galaxy nexus is no slouch when it comes to hardware either. There's only so much processing power that you need in a phone and i believe that the galaxy nexus is perfectly adequate. I knew that if I went with the s3 I would never see an update, while the galaxy nexus will be the first to update to jelly bean. And to me that's more important. For you root users out there this is definitely the phone to get because it is unlock the bootloader, root, unroot, etc. this phone is also highly developed for in the rooting community. Pros: Price Design Stock Android Quick updates Many accessories HD Super amoled screen Cons: Only 5 mp camera phone speakers not loud enough Battery life could be better No sd card slot In closing the galaxy nexus still remains the best Android phone to date. Vanilla ics is the way Google intends us to see it. Even though newer phones come out with better hardware, software is more important because hardware on a phone to a point is irrelevant.

Now outdated
This phone was good while it lasted but the screen broke and is very expensive to repair. The galaxy nexus was marketed as being samsung's phone that would be the first to receive android system updates. This is apparently no longer the case. A more recent cell phone would be a better option.

A wonderful smartphone
The phone exterior is sleek and beautiful to look at. The iPhone 4S looks like a relic next to it. I'm not much of a power user, mostly use it for work, i.e. emails and specialty apps. The Android OS performs very well in these cases, is responsive and easy to use. As a phone it works well with good sound and reception quality. The price is great in comparison with iPhones and high-end Galaxy types. I haven't really tried out games or anything with high graphic demands, however the bit I did try seemed to cause massive overheating. If you need a phone which can handle heavy gaming I would recommend choosing something else or at least researching the heat problem (maybe Google or Samsung solved it). Note that Google quality assurance tends to miss some ridiculous bugs (like no ability to enter December dates), however that's an Android issue and not directly tied to a specific phone. In summary, for business users I would highly recommend it, otherwise you'll probably be better of with a more expensive phone.

Bad Unit
I was inlove with the phone, unfortunately i got a bad unit. First of all, it had 2 scratches in the screen. Also, the touch interface had some flaw and didn't registered all my inputs. Specially around the C and T keys using the default keyboard. I thought that i was going crazy so i installed Swype and it was a disaster, the digitizer didn't detect the full swype so words were chopped and it was uncredibly annoying. I activated the Pointer Location in Development options and the Lowest Prs gotten was 0.28 and sometimes it didn't registered my touch when with my old Galaxy S i could get 0.16 and it detected all swypes and inputs. So unfortunately, i asked for a full refund but i'm pretty sure i'll buy another one. Beside from my misfortune with the touch screen, the phone was uncredibly amazing and now it should be better with JB. I'll give it one star only because it was defective.

One issue, but good enough to make you think
I have been using this phone for a little while now, so I can write about it. I love it altogether - the color, the fact that is slim and elegant and, of course, as a phone with everything that it does, including the unlocked feature that allows for easy use when travelling. The only thing that kept me from rating it 5 stars is that about once a year it starts to act up by shutting itself down and becoming non-responsive, freezing etc. The first time it happened I thought it could be a battery issue, but discovered it was not. The second time, I even changed the battery to make sure that issue is out of the way. I thought at some point about getting another phone, but found out that it is an issue that some of these phones seem to have (software wise), so the way to fix it is to reboot it and restore it to factory settings. I have done it twice already and every time afterwards worked fine. Make sure you back up all your data and photos before doing the restore since the process will wipe it all out. Update: one day, the screen just froze on "Google" logo and it wouldn't turn on at all, so I declared it dead. Untimely death, since it didn't quite reach 2 years old at the time. For this reason, my rating went down to 2 stars. The stars remaining are just for the other features described, but knowing what I know now, I would not recommend this model unless the software issue gets fixed, which is definitely too late for this batch.

Best smartphone so far..
It's been a while using my Galaxy Nexus and it work perfect. ICS is smooth and fast, integration with all google apps in a very few steps. What i like the most it the High-def display: The Samsung Galaxy Nexus' display is big and beautiful, offering Super AMOLED Plus technology for fantastic contrast and a super-sharp 720p resolution (1,280 x 720 pixels). Viewing HD Videos, Surfing the web it's just great. Multitasking with this smartphone it's not an issue, it handles a lot of apps in the background. Sound it's ok, Camera it's fast but some pics appeared blurry because it didn't seem like there was time for autofocus to kick in. With 1.2 GHZ dual core processor you can access everything REALLY fast! I just can't wait to see this Jelly Bean on my Galaxy Nexus.

Solid phone, easy to use, dependable, and fast
One of the easiest and fastest smart phones i have used. Holds a signal longer than other phones, texts are sent easily as are photos. Controls work easily. Jump on the internet easily. Download any browser you like and you are off. Notifications can be turned on or off, all the controls that you want are here without all the annoying things you don't want. Great work phone for traveling. Get a rubberized case for it so it can take a few knocks. After a couple of years had scratched the glass but that was my fault. Do not drop flat on its face as the screen will crack (had dropped it several hundred times prior without a problem) Down side is it is the international version so the warranty is only good in the UK, not in the US. Batteries only available from Amazon or online sources and not from your local dealer. If the charging port is damaged, it may be difficult to repair. Treat that is the most fragile part of the phone. Do not upgrade the OS if you like the installed one as it is more stable than the upgraded OS and i like the clock in the older version better. Liked the first one so much i bought a second one as back up. Put in your sim and go. Use android beam/ NTF to transfer your photos and contacts.
